Very cold in OZ!

You girls know how I feel about age and aging … for me, it’s all about perspective!

I am positive that Taci’s mother knew her daughter was on her way to see her. And I am also sure that Taci had no hint that her mom was in a bad way. But, fate sometimes steps in when the parent does not want her loved ones to worry about them and so they pass. You and I know just how difficult it is to lose a parent. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Each person goes through the process in his or her way.

I think I will wait for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. It should be out within the next two or three weeks. It is one shot and many other places will be able to give the shot since it will not be necessary to keep it as cold as the one from Pfizer and Maderna. There are side effects from this one as well, but it really looks doable. I probably will need to make an appointment, but it will be easier rather than to be a multitude of people.

I am also trying to convince hubby that I am still reluctant to head North. We are hearing things about the hotel/motel rooms that are not sitting right. There are problems even with the Hiltons, Marriotts, Choice, etc.. If it was one night on the road I wouldn’t worry so much. But, it is at least 4 nights and possibly 5 depending on construction and traffic. Remember, my Covid experience began in a hotel room the day we were heading to the ship for a two week cruise. I just do not want to become ill while we are traveling from one motel/hotel to the next. I am willing to wait until it is safer.

Tomorrow is Trivia. Where in the world did this week go. I will be there.

We have turned the corner from winter to spring in Florida. The temperatures starting tomorrow will be in the 70s with 60s at the lows. It may rain tomorrow through Saturday. We sure could use those raindrops. Hope you have a nice evening and stay safe.

Oodie, saw your post and thanks for the message. Yes, I wish I went a week ago, but in reality wanted to wait until the 14 day timeframe was up. Hard to make the call.
Soon you will be on your way from FL to CT. Lots of people are traveling here, and it can be done safely. Our hotel did a good job. Hoping you get the vaccine soon. Take care.

@Sheba, Thank you for the heartfelt post and prayers and pictures. It very thoughtful of you.
Tomorrow we are driving back to AZ. I never knew there was so much to do when someone passes. Sheba dear, do tell, how did you know? Most people who knew my Mother expected her to get better, as did I. Ladies, her place is jam packed with all the things she loved.

Hope you get to Colorado soon and can visit. We are lucky to love in a technical time when we can still see each and visit over the miles. I know it’s not the same though. Take care, stay safe.
