Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Chances Are
Johnny MathisChances are ’cause I wear a silly grin
The moment you come into view
Chances are you think that I’m in love with you
Just because my composure sort of slips
The moment that your lips meet mine
Chances are you think my heart’s your Valentine
In the magic of moonlight when I sigh, hold me close, dear
Chances are you believe the stars that fill the skies are in my eyes
Guess you feel you’ll always be the one and only one for me
And if you think you could
Well, chances are your chances are awfully good
Chances are you believe the stars that fill the skies are in my eyes
Guess you feel you’ll always be the one and only one for me
And if you think you could
Well, chances are your chances are awfully good
The chances are your chances are awfully good -

Not sure if there is a game tomorrow. The Arcade has been down all week and doesn’t seem to be in a repair mode. I sent a note to the Mods to see if they could find out. Once in the Arcade and you play a game you cannot move to other areas. That includes the Rewards Store, Community, etc,, I thought it may be due to the snowstorm and high winds, but as far as I can see most have their electricity. People are really feeling horrible without their games. I assume the Team may be working from home but not sure. While in Community, Customer Service, saw a post from Pitman. I assume he is OK and just too busy for us at the moment. When the days get a little longer, maybe he will rejoin us.
I took another day off from the closet. The water was turned off and thus I decided to take it easy. Hubby’s closet is very difficult. There is a smell in there that I have no idea what it is or what caused it. Not sure if it’s shoes or something else. I cannot continue the MB until the closet smells better than springtime. And to make matters worse, hubby lost his sense of smell. Tastebuds returned, hoping the nose will do the same. We will be making a trip to Costco tomorrow and will look for a good cleaner for the rug as well as the wood. Masks come in handy.
Really enjoyed Tony Bennett. We saw him live on Cape with his Daughter when he was celebrating his 90th birthday. He belt out a song then and I see he is still going strong today. Also Lady GaGa is good as well. In the beginning, I was not enlightened, but now, oh my, that lady can belt out a song. Her rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” was beautiful. She sang with heart and soul.

Super Bowl Sunday will be at home with the doggies. I hope that Jerry and I have slightly sore left arms. See, it is 7:15 PM in Florida. I am in lump mode.
Sheba, you are such a strong, good person. Thank you for all you do and for being you.

@Sheba, The Humane Society line that I called said I need a picture of car make, model and Lic plate and even his picture. He’s in the area nearby so I went and waited yesterday for a bit and I will go there now and then until I see him and then wait it out with phone camera. Now I know what to do.
Sorry you had asthma attack, sounds awful. Maybe mask up when you go back. I am adapting to the mask and gloves for all sorts of things like cleaning and even handling things from my Mothers place, since she was covid positive.
Regarding the reddish colored Lab picture, a dog like this was vividly in my dream. I have allergies and do not have any pets. Love them, but in the house its too much.
Take Care all!
Shout outs to Shoelady, Oddie, and all! -
Good afternoon to you. I am so very glad to hear you are fine. I think with your problem in the closet and my problem in the closet, we both need to stay out of closets!!!😮🤣
My husband does not have asthma but our doctor gave him one when he had covid. He hasn’t used it much but does take it when he exercises. Just a precaution until he feels 100%.
Went to the grocery store today and not doing much except cooking dinner. Still have to eat through all our messes. There was a very, very complimentary article in our local paper today about Patrick and how he can do it all. I hope he does it all on Sunday.
Jake going for his spa treatment tomorrow. I will probably go see mom and sis on Saturday, weather permitting. Sending hugs and kisses (covid style) to you and Poppy.💕🌹

Having It Easy
Everyone must overcome difficulties, and everyone has been granted a distinctive set of talents with which to do so.
Our lives are an exercise in facing challenges. We dream the grandest of dreams as youngsters only to discover that we must cultivate copious inner strength and determination in order to meet our goals. Our hard work does not always yield the results we expect. And it is when we find ourselves frustrated by the trials we face or unable to meet our own expectations that we are most apt to take notice of those individuals who appear to accomplish great feats effortlessly. Some people’s lives seem to magically fall into place. We can see the blessings they have received, the ease with which they have attained their desires, their unwavering confidence, and their wealth. But, because we can never see the story of their lives as a whole, it is important that we refrain from passing judgment or becoming envious.
Throughout our lives, we glimpse only the outer hull of others’ life experiences, so it’s tempting to presuppose that the abundance they enjoy is the result of luck rather than diligent effort. In a small number of cases, our assumptions may mirror reality. But very few people “have it easy.” Everyone must overcome difficulties and everyone has been granted a distinctive set of talents with which to do so. An individual who is highly gifted may nonetheless have to practice industriously and correct themselves repeatedly in order to cultivate their talents. Their myriad accomplishments are more likely than not the result of ongoing hard work and sacrifice. You, no doubt, have natural abilities that you have nurtured and your gifts may be the very reason you strive as tirelessly as you do. Yet others see only the outcome of your efforts and not the efforts themselves
Our intellects, our hearts, and our souls are constantly being tested by the universe. Life will create new challenges for you to face each time you prove yourself capable of overcoming the challenges of the past. What you deem difficult will always differ from that which others deem difficult. The tests you will be given will be as unique as you are. If you focus on doing the best you can and making use of the blessings you have been granted, the outcome of your efforts will be a joyous reflection of your dedication.
