Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I would have replied sooner if I hadn’t fallen asleep. It was a 4 1/2 hour ordeal before the car was ready. Only an oil change and to check the sliding doors on the van. But the book I started was excellent and I surmise I will pick it up and finish it before turning the light off and going to bed. On the way home we made our stop at the Farmer’s Market. They had red oranges. I thought I had picked up three, but there was only one in the basket. But I did purchase ruby, blood red grapefruits. Yes, they had dragon fruit and I bought quite a few because they were half the usual price. Now, we had also left the house before breakfast. So I picked up two Italian grinders for hubby and one chicken salad in a croissant for me. They also had a meatball grinder on sale, which is a favorite for both of us. Also bought a Casaba melon and then left. Hubby was too tired to join me in the store. Made it to the car and loaded the back. When we wanted to leave, the car didn’t start. Ignition turned no sound. I contacted the three As and they came to our rescue. We needed a new battery. This was supposed to be checked automatically. Guess it wasn’t. Now I wonder if they had filled the washer for the windshield and checked the fluid for the A/C. Tomorrow I will contact them and let it be known that I guess they forgot to do the usual things. The vehicle was there for 4 1/2 hours. Go figure.
Of course, Sheba, you can start a new thread in Community. Stop kicking yourself. You had tons on your plate this month and last month. And, now you can relax. Hubby came through with flying colors and it seems that ole heart is as healthy as a 20 year old. Things sometimes happen for no apparent reason. Could be he needed to slow down a bit.
Well, guess I’ll go find a tiny nibble for dessert. Have a great evening.

What Makes People Tick?
Many people are very different from ourselves and coming to a place of acceptance can make the road easier
All people have their own way of being in the world. It is easiest to comprehend this basic yet profound fact when we consider that every human being on the planet occupies a distinct role in the universe. We grow up in different environments, affected by a unique range of influences. The preferences, values, and beliefs we embrace are frequently related intimately to our origins. And the need to individualize our experiences is instinctive, as doing so enables us to cope when we must face challenges on our own. Consequently, each of us has developed a perspective that is uniquely ours. Interacting peacefully and constructively with people from all walks of life is a matter of first understanding where they are coming from. Then we can adjust our expectations so that we avoid making undue assumptions about what they are about.
In the face of emerging interpersonal conflict, it is easy to assume that others are being difficult, unreasonable, or stubborn. We are apt to grow frustrated when someone in our environment does not share our opinions or feel compelled to support us in our endeavors. It is likely that the individual or individuals before us may simply possess differing notions with regard to what is and what is not important in this life. We can ease the tension that exists between us by reaffirming our belief in the fundamental right of all beings to determine their own destinies. To foster a harmonious relationship, we need to do our best to relate to the unique universes they inhabit. And as we discover what makes them tick, our ability to find a mode of interaction that is pleasing to both of us is enhanced.
When there are barriers keeping you from connecting with someone else, think of questions you can ask them to gain a more thorough understanding of their point of view. You may discover that in addition to the differences in perspective dividing you, they are subject to insecurities and other personal issues that influence their way of seeing the world. It is likely that you will never fully grasp the myriad complexities embodied by humanity, but you can go a long way toward encouraging mutually satisfying relations by reaching out to others in the spirit of sympathetic comprehension. Hmmm…

“The Shape Of Things To Come” – The Ramones
There’s a new sun rising up angry in the sky
There’s a new voice crying we’re not afraid to die
Let the old world make believe it’s blind and deaf and dumb
But nothing can change the shape of things to comeThere are changes lying ahead on every road
There are new thoughts ready and waiting to explode
When tomorrow is today the bells may toll for some
But nothing can change the shape of things to comeThe future’s coming in sweet and strong
Ain’t nothing gonna hold it back for longThere are new dreams crowding out old realities
Revolution sweeping in like a fresh new breeze
Let the old world make believe it’s blind and deaf and dumb
But nothing can change the shape of things…Nothing can change the shape of things…
No, nothing can change the shape of things to come…And there’s a new sun rising up angry in the sky
And there’s a new voice crying we’re not afraid to die
Let the old world make believe it’s blind and deaf and dumb
But nothing can change the shape of things…No, nothing can change the shape of things to come
Nothing can change the shape of things…
Nothing can change the shape of things…
