Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@hilarious and @shoelady60,
That is so hilarious about the pie. 🤣My husband is all muscles with a great body
and he does the same thing. I have to do walking and pilates to maintain. 😎
When hubby brings things home like that I let him eat it.So let’s eat CAKE. 🤣

You are absolutely correct and he exercises way more than me. If he watches real good, it will be gone in two weeks. Unless he brings home more pies!

Well, last night was something out of my college days. I fell asleep with the TV on and awoke around 4 am. I had things to do, but 4 am just didn’t cut it. Yep, still fully clothed and had not taken the vitamins or sinus meds. Hubby did manage to fall out of bed, not once but twice the night prior. He landed very softly on the pillows that are on the floor. He does not want the preventive thing near him. The pillows do work, so I will give him credit for that. But sleeping on the edge, not so good.
Yes, the comforter arrived a few minutes ago. We seem to be the last one for delivery every time. I will open the box soon. I’m still working on the bedroom. Seems I go back to the project only to find something else is standing in my way. Well, this time I went through some books and managed to find room in our wall unit for a few of them. This means I will part with some favorites. But cutting through the clutter or the mess, will take time. But, I am almost finished with that end.
Tomorrow is Trivia. Cannot believe it. I just hope we have a good game and maybe some extra tickets along the way. Last week was fun staying together and having a bit of conversation. Still not sure how I will start the game. Like you, it will hit when the moment is there.
It was very cloudy today. No rain in sight. Temp was in the 70s and windy. Tomorrow the same. However, forecast for the weekend and into the middle of next week will be 80s and very very humid. We have A/C so no worries there (knock on wood).

Please don’t yell at you know who for bringing that pie that is so yum yum. For some reason men can lose those pounds in no time while most of us on the opposite spectrum takes forever and a day. Two pounds per week if we are lucky. He will probably be back to where he is supposed to be in less than a month.

Good afternoon – Dentist appointment went well, six month checkup and cleaning.🦷 Hopefully, won’t have to return for another six months. It is still warm but on and off rain today, one of those days you just want to curl up by the TV or read a book.
Not much else happening, my husband said he is ten pounds overweight (but he brought an apple pie home this morning, duh) so I am making salads for dinner🥗 and I guess we are having pie for dessert, lol!🥧 You and Poppy enjoy your evening walk.🚶♀️🐕💕

Things We Don’t Want to Do
Doing things we don’t want to do, or that scare us, creates flow in our lives and allows us to grow.
Most of us have had the experience of tackling some dreaded task only to come out the other side feeling invigorated, filled with a new sense of confidence and strength. The funny thing is, most of the time when we do them, we come out on the other side changed and often wondering what we were so worried about or why it took us so long. We may even begin to look for other tasks we’ve been avoiding so that we can feel that same heady mix of excitement and completion.
Whether we avoid something because it scares us or bores us, or because we think it will force a change we’re not ready for, putting it off only creates obstacles for us. On the other hand, facing the task at hand, no matter how onerous, creates flow in our lives and allows us to grow. The relief is palpable when we stand on the other side knowing that we did something even though it was hard or we didn’t want to do it. On the other hand, when we cling to our comfort zone, never addressing the things we don’t want to face, we cut ourselves off from flow and growth.
We all have at least one thing in our life that never seems to get done. Bringing that task to the top of the list and promising ourselves that we will do it as soon as possible is an act that could liberate a tremendous amount of energy in our lives. Whatever it is, we can allow ourselves to be fueled by the promise of the feelings of exhilaration and confidence that will be the natural result of doing it. 😎
