Hi Sheba, just checking in while dinner is cooking. No packing for the trip – their house is about two hours away so we are only going up for the day. Get there late morning and come home in the evening. Bought the girls gift cards for all their hard work during the golf season.🥰

Like you, my husband finished the leaves today.🍁🍂 Any more that get blown over will get buried in the snow. I wish this was March/April and the trees were budding. That would mean winter is over!!😃

Sitting with Our Sadness

Sitting with our sadness takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and we will come out the other side.

The last thing most of us want to hear or think about when we are dealing with profound feelings of sadness is that deep learning can be found in this place. In the midst of our pain, we often feel picked on by life, or overwhelmed by the enormity of some loss, or simply too exhausted to try and examine the situation. We may feel far too disappointed and angry to look for anything resembling a bright side to our suffering. Still, somewhere in our hearts, we know that we will eventually emerge from the depths into the light of greater awareness. Remembering this truth, no matter how elusive it seems, can help.

The other thing we often would rather not hear when we are dealing with intense sadness is that the only way out of it is through it. Sitting with our sadness takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and the faith that we will come out the other side. With courage, we can allow ourselves to cycle through the grieving process with full inner permission to experience it. This is a powerful teaching that sadness has to offer us — the ability to surrender and the acceptance of change go hand in hand.

Another teaching of sadness is compassion for others who are in pain, because it is only in feeling our own pain that we can really understand and allow for someone else’s. Sadness is something we all go through, and we all learn from it and are deepened by its presence in our lives. While our own individual experiences of sadness carry with them unique lessons, the implications of what we learn are universal. The wisdom we gain from going through the process of feeling loss, heartbreak, or deep disappointment gives us access to the heart of humanity. Amen! ✨✨

I am doing so much better today I have never been hit that hard with a cold.
I took advantage of of some sun today and did some lawn work. The sky was clear
and blue I think this is the last day for spring like weather then Ole man winter returns.
Well it is Fall. 😎

How are you today? I am going to blow a kiss at Jake’s Canvass. 😘

Good morning in S. California. ✨😎Oz has sun today and I have been a busy bee.

So is it spring like in S. California? We will be having some really cold weather later
this week. Yikes!! Did you see the full moon last night? My sister called me from Colorado
to say how beautiful it looked there she was visiting our mother. 😘✨

All I have to do was step outside my front door and the moon is right there. 💕✨

Taci yes I do have five doctors I will see next month that is because it’s my two year
date of my breast cancer and that is my team they need to see the new 3D Mammogram
when it is done and sign off on it. When this is over I will only have my Primary Care Physician
and Oncologist I will visit twice a year. ✨

This is lemon water enjoy after you hit the trails. 🎶🎶

You have a busy week there is always something to do. I got some yard work done this
morning while my husband is at work. 💕 I don’t mind I just needed to move every muscle
in body the head cold was something I am not used to it was really strong. No worries the
sun was out and I am wearing my Ugg Boots, legging and a cashmere sweater perfect for
fall in OZ. 😎✨ Poppy was just staring at me. 😜

Good day in sunny Florida. Oz is great today but..the cold is going to hit the fan later in
the week. 😜

How are you today? This is a good day for cookies. My husband is a cookie monster so I may
make a batch of Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I make mine from scratch using the original
Oatmeal we all grew up on. 😎 I did some leaves this morning just to get my body going.
The head cold was no joke. The sun is out today so I took advantage of the warmth and did
two large lawn bags which the City is picking up lawn and leaf this week. I even trimmed
the edges of the front and back. ✨

Wishing you a great day for you and hubby I know you will be happy when you hit the
road for a getaway. 😎✨
