Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

We Are the Champions
Song by QueenI’ve paid my dues
Time after time
I’ve done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I’ve made a few
I’ve had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I’ve come through
And we mean to go on and on and on and on
We are the champions, my friends
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of the World
I’ve taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune
And everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it’s been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before
The human race
And I ain’t gonna lose
And we mean to go on and on and on and on
We are the champions, my friends
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of the World
We are the champions, my friends
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of the World -
Killer Queen
Song by QueenShe keeps her Moet et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
“Let them eat cake”, she says
Just like Marie Antoinette
A built-in remedy
For Khrushchev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation
You can’t decline
Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?
To avoid complications
She never kept the same address
In conversation
She spoke just like a baroness
Met a man from China
Went down to Geisha Minah
Then again incidentally
If you’re that way inclined
Perfume came naturally from Paris (naturally)
For cars she couldn’t care less
Fastidious and precise
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Drop of a hat she’s as willing as
Playful as a cat
Then momentarily out of action
Temporarily out of gas
To absolutely drive you wild, wild
She’s all out to get you
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?
You wanna try -
@oodiebom
Hi Oodiebom.
I want to send well wishes in advance for you and Hubby’s 2nd COVID shot. I can’t believe it has already been over a month since we have gotten our 2nd shot on March 24th. We both received the Pfizer. I was tired the next day and just really rested and did nothing and felt fine the next day. Hubby was fatigued but had chills and felt fine the next day too.
Your weather sounds like our first day back. I know we are back home because the humidity is higher than the actual temperature. We hit 94 today.
We left Ruidoso yesterday and had the heater on in the morning. When we got home to Boerne, we needed the AC. Just crazy.
The sun is down now so going to do a little yard work. It looks so pretty and green from all the recent rains.
Take care.🌹 -

I saw where Jake was under the weather a few days ago. Good to see he is better now.
That sounds like my two with their treats/snacks! They think every time I am in the kitchen for whatever reason that they are entitled to a little “something”.
Our warm weather is here and time for summer shoes. Your pedicure today sounded like a fun thing that I can do with my Sister. 😊
Take care 🌹 -

Howdy from Texas😘
We left Ruidoso at 8 am and safely arrived home yesterday at 7:30 pm. It is a long day for sure but we prefer to make several stops to stretch our legs and walk the dogs. They do much better on long trips when they can get out every so often.
We rested today and only went to the store for a few items. We know we are back in Texas because the humidity is higher than the actual temperature. We got to 94 degrees today. 🥵
Tomorrow we have our dental cleanings and check up. Afterwards, Hubby is taking the truck in to the collision center to get an insurance estimate for the hail damage.
Also need to do yard work. The yard is so beautiful and green from all the recent rains. The grass is so thick and tall in some places that I loose Little D. He doesn’t walk, he leaps😂.
Really sounds like Poppy is getting better each day. I do what you did when giving pills, wrap it up in deli meat, put it in a cube of velveeta cheese or put it in a chunky piece of canned dog food. I tried those doggie pill pouches but they didn’t work as well as “human” food .
Wishing you and Poppy a good evening ❤️🌹 -
Did you know that you can watch the entire Heidi Daus two hours by going into “Watch,” then mousing on Heidi’s time slot???? All you have to do is mouse on “Watch Now” and you get the entire first hour. Do the same for the second hour.
No doctor appointment today. Both of us had our lab work this afternoon. We had to make an appointment and the only thing opened was the one we used. We had to fast as well. And then to miss Heidi. Oh well, watched after we had a bite.
The weather here has turned to summer. High humidity and high temps as well. This is one time I enjoy the A?C. Temps tonight will be in the mid 70s. Right now I am a happy camper in that we can enjoy central air which is something we do not have in either of our homes in the Northeast. And, yes, both of our backs are giving us major problems. I am wondering if it has something to do with the storms hitting other parts of the Gulf coast and will head up the Atlantic. Also watching the tornadoes. Please be safe because these may hit during the night.
Saturday is our second Covid dose. Looking forward to going out and shopping at my favorite haunts. That is, after spending two weeks at home to give the vaccine a chance to work. Speaking of Covid, we had over 3000 cases today. If this keeps up, going North may be up in the air again. We shall see.
Keep up the good work with Poppy. Still wouldn’t let him run around until he sees his vet. Speaking of our four legged friends, have you watched the video on how a dog may speak to us. It’s very interesting and cute.

Rainy day in the ‘burgh.🌧 Jake seems to be fine, ate all his dinner yesterday and breakfast today. He probably had too many treats and junk on Saturday.😝 Thank you for asking. I see Poppy man is doing great, yay!😊
Went to get a pedicure with mom and sis this morning.👣 Then we had lunch while her car was being inspected and checked over. At least that is done for the year.
Hockey game tonight,🏒 I hope I don’t fall asleep like the last one. Some games are great, others are boring, just like in any sport. BTW, the ribs were delish!😋 What did you end up having?
You and Poppy take it easy after a busy weekend. Stay safe.🤗

Magical Moments
The truly noteworthy events in our lives are often the least momentous, yet the most wonderful.
Most of us are adept at seeing the big picture. Caught up in the hectic pace of modern life, we feel compelled to immediately distinguish what is important from what is not. The assessment is an easy one to make when we are mired in the daily grind — everything relating to success seems significant and everything else seems comparatively trivial. But what is most precious in this life cannot be measured in affluence or influence. The truly noteworthy events in our lives are often the least momentous yet the most wonderful. They are the magical moments in which we are simply awestruck by the wonderment of life. Though our perception of magical moments may be blocked by worldly concerns, our days are filled with such moments. To experience them fully, we need only open ourselves to their existence.
Magical moments are not measured by the composition of an experience but rather by our reaction to it. Since such moments come and go quickly, they should be consciously savored and noted. They stick with us only when we recognize the impact they have had on our mood, our day, and our lives. In such instances, we may find we are suddenly and blissfully aware that we have evolved or that those around us have changed in some positive way. We may stand in awe at the beauty of a familiar object or derive great pleasure from an everyday activity. Or we may witness incidents of supreme kindness and compassion that do not directly involve us yet touch our hearts intensely. Nature is a constant source of magical moments. When we cherish such occurrences, we condition ourselves to take note of them when they happen and appreciate the value they add to our lives.
An idea for increasing your awareness of the magical moments in your life is to record all such happenings in a journal kept for that purpose. As these moments are personal, your journal can be a documentation of small joys or a testimony of grand revelations. You may begin to notice that there is more magic in your life than you initially imagined. In striving to make the most of each of these magical moments, you grant yourself permission to experience new levels of joy, surprise, tenderness, and personal fulfillment. AMEN! 😘😎
