Fairy Godmother: Cinderella Musical?
Cinderella Musical: Who are you?
Fairy Godmother:I’m your fairy godmother.
Cinderella Musical: How beautiful you are.
Fairy Godmother: I’m made of all of your most beautiful hopes and dreams and wishes.
Cinderella Musical: Oh, Fairy godmother,
I have only one wish just now…. to go to the ball…. and I know it is impossible.
Fairy Godmother: Impossible? Bah, what’s a fairy godmother for?
Cinderella Musical: To make my wish come true?
Fairy Godmother: If you wish it hard enough.
Now let me see you’ll need a coach, and four horses, and a coachman, and a groom.
Cinderella Musical: Is it possible to get those things by wishing for them?
Fairy Godmother: Well, the sensible people of this world will say
(sung) Fol-de-rol and fiddle dee dee
and fiddley faddley foddle all the wishes in the world are poppy and twoddle.
Cinderella Musical: (spoken) Aren’t they?
Fairy Godmother: Not always. The sensible people will also say (sung)
Fol-de-rol and fiddle dee dee and fiddley faddley foodle all the dreamers
in the world are dizzy in the noodle.
Cinderella Musical: (spoken) And aren’t they?
Fairy Godmother: Not always, especially when there is someone who loves you to help you.
Now, to work. For a coach I believe
I see a pumpkin over there– that’ll do very nicely.
Cinderella Musical: A pumpkin?
Fairy Godmother: I see you have four pet mice in a cage..
they’ll do very nicely for the horses
Cinderella Musical: Mice? For horses?
Fairy Godmother: Mm hmm..
Now let me see, something’s peering at us from under that shrub,
oh yes, it’s a fine fat rat with whiskers,
and his brother they’ll do very nicely for the coachman and the groom.
Cinderella Musical: Oh, dear Fairy Godmother it all seems so impossible!!

Fairy Godmother: Impossible for a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage.
Impossible for a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in marriage.
And four white mice will never be four white hourses.
Such fol-de-rol and fiddle dee dee of courses. Impossible!
But the world is full of zanies and fools who don’t believe in sensible rules
and won’t believe what sensible people say..
and because these daft and dewey eyed dopes keep building up impossible
hopes impossible things are happening every day!
Cinderella Musical: Impossible!
Fairy Godmother:Impossible!

Cinderella Musical: And remember how very very hard I am wishing!

Fairy Godmother: You are going to the ball
Cinderella Musical: Oh, oh my clothes
Fairy Godmother: Oh dear of course how thoughtless of me. THERE!!
Cinderella Musical: Oh Fairy Godmother how beautiful!! I am dressed like a princess.
Fairy Godmother: And here are your slippers.
Cinderella Musical: They’re made of glass
Fairy Godmother: Put them on
Cinderella Musical: They fit perfectly!
Fairy Godmother: Now! You are ready for the ball.
But there is one thing you must remember.
You must leave before the stroke of midnight, for the magic will last no longer.
Cinderella Musical: : I will remember. Oh fairy godmother how wonderful it all is!!

We have had one tiny rainstorm with a bit of thunder and streaks of lightning. Hubby is OK today. I am wondering if all his problems are now due to dehydration. Just a thought. Yes, he is stronger today. I will be watching like a hawk and handing him bottles of water.

I’m working on boxes of papers at the moment. The shredder is now absolutely full. I will be working on the bedding as soon as he gets out of bed. Meanwhile the papers will do. When the thunderstorms are over laundry beckons.

We did another Asian take out last night. This one was better than the one last week and is closer.
Have enough for tonight and maybe tomorrow.

Good afternoon in Oz and happy birthday to your dear mom.🎂💗🎈 I know you want to be there. 80 sure is a milestone and, hopefully, you can celebrate with her a few weeks late. When you get to a certain age, every day is a celebration!✨ My stepdad’s birthday is June 16th. Your dad and my mom have the same birthday.

Just finished hanging my canvas of Jake, it looks great. I have tears in my eyes but I know he will be watching over me and I can throw him kisses. Just waiting now on my necklace.

Drywall guy canceled for today about an hour ago. He gets one more chance tomorrow and if he cancels again, I am canceling him. It has been over two weeks since he said he would start and hasn’t done a thing. My entire family room is filled with boxes and shelves from the laundry room and I’m sick of the mess. Another day in the 90’s.🔥🔥

The Gift of Boredom

A bored mind can be the canvas upon which innovation is painted, and the womb in which novelty is nourished.

The human mind thrives on novelty. What was once a source of pleasure can become tedious after a time. Though our lives are full, boredom lurks around every corner because we innately long for new experiences. Yet boredom by its very nature is passive. In this idle state of mind, we may feel frustrated at our inability to channel our mental energy into productive or engaging tasks. We may even attempt to lose ourselves in purposeless or self-destructive pursuits. While this can be a sign of depression, it can also be an invitation issued from your mind, asking you to challenge yourself. Boredom can become the motivation that drives you to learn, explore the exotic, experiment, and harness the boundless creative energy within.

In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, boredom is perceived as a pathway to self-awareness. Boredom itself is not detrimental to the soul — it is the manner in which we respond to it that determines whether it becomes a positive or a negative influence in our lives. When you respond by actively filling the emptiness you feel lurking in yourself, you cultivate creativity and innovation. If, when in the grip of boredom, you have difficulty acknowledging the merits of any activities you might otherwise enjoy, generate your own inspiration. Before you find yourself beset by boredom, create a list of tasks you can consult when it feels like there is simply nothing to do. Referring to a list of topics you want to learn more about, projects you’ve yet to begin, or even pending chores can spark your creative energy and reawaken your zest for life.

When we are troubled by boredom, it is not that there is nothing to do but rather that we are not stimulated by the options before us. A bored mind can be the canvas upon which innovation is painted and the womb in which novelty is nourished. When you identify boredom as a signal that you need to test your boundaries, it can be the force that presses you to strive for opportunities you thought were beyond your reach and to indulge your desire for adventure. 😎

Good day on the Gulf Coast. 😎🌹I hope you are enjoying the rain. We have a few more
days of rain than the weather pattern will change. Oz will be a wee bit warmer next week.

The flowers and grass are looking good no flooding as of yet. The last time when it rained
so hard our sump pump had to be replaced. YIKES!

Oodie so far my arm feels alright no soreness. One down and one to go. 😎
