Hi. It poured here this morning and I mean poured. My lanai got soaked. And my den windows never looked so clean. Yesterday, just prior to sunset, I did some of the heavy duty weeding and the easy part I will do over the weekend. Before leaving, I check the yard for all the gizmos that a hurricane or heavy wind can take and toss to someone’s yard or through their window. Having said that, I started to watch the storm in the Caribbean. So far it looks like a direct hit for Florida. Yes, things can change, but last night and this morning I watched/listened to the reports. I had until tomorrow to make final decisions on cancelling without repercussions. Well, while hemming and hawing, hubby fell out of bed and a large thump was heard around the world. He landed on his back, but didn’t hit the back of his head. He is OK, but a bit sore. The decision was made. I cancelled and we leave a week later. I can breathe a lot easier. And yes, so far, the storm is now a hurricane or may not be when it arrives in Florida. Still in all, if it is a hurricane both the East Coast and the West Coast will be impacted. It won’t matter which Interstate we use, both are in the cone. YIKES!!!!! I don’t want to sound like an alarmist, but I know your daughter lives near the beach area of GA.. Please tell her to watch for updates. As it nears Florida it could go either way.

Sheba, Happy 4th of July to you and family. Great you can go places and see fun things like the Blue Angels. Here, we honker down and don’t go out. Many illegal fireworks, in this dry fire area and too many crazy drivers and crowds.
As a kid, my Dad took us every year to see them and it was so fun!
