Jimi Hendrix said in an interview with the New Musical Express in 1969, “I dream a lot and I put a lot of my dreams down as songs. I wrote one called ‘First Around the Corner’ and another called ‘The Purple Haze’, which was all about a dream I had that I was walking under the sea.”

Purple Haze was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It is considered to be one of the greatest guitar songs, with Rolling Stone ranking it at number two and Q magazine at number one.

Happy 4th to you, hubby and Poppy! I don’t need to go out and see fireworks, I can just look at this thread and all the beautiful ones you have posted.🎆🧨✨🎇 And without all the noise, lol!

I am sitting here with my boy around my neck and next to my heart.💕 It is lovely and I will keep it forever.

Visited mom and sis this morning, they have nothing planned except church. Both are doing well. Mom just ordered three pair of white shoes, yikes!😮 I don’t think I even own one pair, maybe flip flops. I guess she plans on attending a lot of summer functions.

Hockey team is winning, 3-0.😊 May be over this Monday. Some work was done yesterday but still slow going and at least two more days next week, ugh! It is going to get hot again for the next few days so will lay low at home and do some grilling.🍔🌭 Have fun at your air show!🛫🛬

Good morning in S. California. I hope you and hubby have a nice 4th of July Weekend.
I understand what you mean by staying in. We will not be out at night. There is too much
going on. We will BBQ via by husband of course. 😎😘

We have been busy this morning doing yard work and the flowers are so beautiful
thanks to mother nature. 🤣 We will hear fireworks for the next two days.

Poppy is fine with the noise thank god. 🌹
