I really hope you will be able to head north in July to get your house for sale. That will be one less thing to worry about. You and hubby take your time and I will keep my fingers crossed and say prayers it will all work out. I know my boy is up above and I told him to lead you safely back.💕

I missed you and really missed your posts. No, I never knew a business that would take the next step to send you flowers in a vase yet. in remembrance. And come to think of it, I don’t know any retailer that would go above and beyond Chewie. If I ever get a four legged friend again I would certainly use them no matter what. What an extremely nice gesture.

Last week was the one from h-ll for me also. My cousin past last week. The funeral was yesterday. I tried every which way to attend. Driving was out of the question because we had not put anything together for the return trip. Flying and car rental was out of the question. As luck would have it, his brother put it on Zoom and so we were able to watch along with others who would not be there in person.

We are still doing housework and trying to get things together before we leave. Our dates have changed twice. Is the third date the charm???? Our new date is now the first week in July. I’m still not sure if we will actually go. I am concerned with hubby and the fact that he spends most of his time in bed. He says he is all right. I just do not know. Time will tell.

Well, back to work. Take care of yourself and your hubby. In time you will heal. You and Sheba have something special. For now, will a cyber hug do? () ( ) (not sure if this is a hug, but it will do, I hope).

Thank you, dear Sheba, for your kind and sweet thoughts. I wish I could hug you, too. Yes, it’s been a tough week and I am getting out of the house tomorrow for a few hours to focus my mind elsewhere. My project that was supposed to start yesterday was pushed back to Saturday because the man is so busy – what else is new?

I have to give a shout out to Chewy.com. I have used them for Jake’s food, treats, supplies, etc., and also two prescriptions that I had on auto refill. I called them over the weekend to cancel the auto refill and they refunded me my money for one that I just got last month and pro-rated a refund from the other. Today, UPS came to my door with a dozen roses and vase from Chewy with a condolence card in honor of Jake. OMG, what other company goes that far for their customers? And they rarely take returns. They just refund your money and tell you to donate the product(s) to shelters. It doesn’t bring Jake back but nice to have complete strangers show they care that much.

Locating The Underlying Cause

Once you’ve taken the time to inquire within, you can begin to make changes that address the deeper issue.

Often, when we’re unhappy, we fall into the habit of thinking that, if only one or two particular things in our life would change, everything would be fine. We might focus on the fact that we need a new car, or a raise, or a change in our living situation. We dwell on this one thing and strategize, or complain, or daydream about what it would be like to have it. Meanwhile, underneath the surface, the real reason for our unhappiness sits unrecognized and unaddressed. And yet, if we are able to locate and explore the underlying cause of our discontent, all the surface concerns have a way of working themselves out in the light of our realization.

Maybe we really do just need a new car, and maybe moving to another city would improve our life situation. However, it can only help to take some time to explore what’s going on at a deeper level. Sometimes, when we take a moment and stop focusing on external concerns, we get to the heart of the matter. We might realize that all our lives we’ve been dissatisfied, grasping at one thing after another, only to be dissatisfied about something else once we get what we want. Or perhaps we’ll notice a pattern of running away from a place, or a relationship, when things get too hard. We might then wonder why this keeps happening, and how we might work through the difficulty rather than just escaping it. The point is, slowing down and turning our attention within can save us a lot of energy in the long run, because it is very often the case that there is no external change that will make us happy.

Once you’ve taken the time to inquire within, you can begin to make changes that address the deeper issue. This can be hard at first, especially if you’ve grown used to grasping for outside sources in order to quell your discontent, but in the end, you will be solving the problem at a deeper level, and it will be much less likely to recur. 🌹😎
