Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I feel you and that is exactly why I told oodie to post on this thread along her journey
back to the North. I feel I know Oodie very well but on these threads you can’t put all
your information out there.Remember years ago we all had that private email provide by HSN? I do miss that feature
she could give more detailed information and ways to contact her personally.I never dreamed she would only get as far as Georgia. I am keeping any lines of communications
open she is on her on and have no one in that area. The trip would have taken a while and she
plans this every single year except for when Covid hit. I am heartbroken 💔 she did not
make it to the North I too am trying to get somewhere Colorado and I am in the Epicenter
of the Delta Virus no way do I want to bring that to my mother. My head is spinning right
now. I hope you have a good night. I would not be surprise if Oodie did Trivia tomorrow night. 😎Oodie is a remarkable woman I know she will make it wherever she needs to be. 😘
This should cool things down. 😘

Another beautiful day in the ‘burgh but we will be getting your heat next week. I think I’ve run the a/c more this year than any other I can remember.
We have been out to eat many times, mainly to take mom for birthdays/holidays. In fact, our best friends just said yesterday that we need to go out for lunch. Our numbers are up and most of them are in the younger adults. No new restrictions in the ‘burgh. I am leery about the Olympics and hope they can get through the games without major problems or cancellations.
Not sure on my nieces, haven’t seen any scores or heard from my nephew. I know they played Monday and Tuesday so on to the next tournament. Pretty sure they go to Pinehurst next week for the world tournament.

Ditto – I hope you are more rested today and your husband is better.💗🙏💗

Sheba, my post didn’t show so here it is again. Good day to you in Oz! Love the trails and we might go on a 3 day hike when it gets cooler. The yellow high heel shoes are gorgeous and sparkly! Pictures are great! I think the people who are not vaccinated are the ones landing in the hospital. I just hope people will get vaccinated.
Sounds like a hot trend in Oz. Glad you and Poppy get out early. We usually wait until late afternoon. If we go too late the mosquitos come out.
Have a great day al!
Hope Oodie and hubby can be on their way soon. -
Oodie, thinking of you and hubby today.

The Importance of Napping
A short nap during the afternoon is common in many countries and can provide an energy boost and clearer senses.
As we focus on the many obligations we gladly undertake in order to create the lives we want, sleep is often the first activity that we sacrifice. We’re compelled by both external and internal pressures to be productive during many of our waking hours. While this can lead to great feats of accomplishment, it also disrupts the body’s natural cycles and leaves us craving rest. Napping represents a pleasurable remedy to this widespread sleep deprivation. Though judged by many as a pastime of little children or the lazy, the need for a nap is a trait that all mammals share and an acceptable part of the day in many countries. It is also a free and effortless way to improve our health and lift our spirits. A nap is relaxing and can improve our mood, vision, reflexes, and memory.
Lack of sleep, whether ongoing or the result of a single night’s wakefulness, puts stress on the body and mind. It can negatively impact your physical and mental health. At one time, napping was considered a natural part of life. In the past hundred years, however, electricity and modern conveniences have provided us with more time to engage in personal and professional activities. Consequently there is now less time for sleep. A mere ten minutes of sleep in the middle of the day can leave you feeling more cheerful and alert. A half-hour long nap can sharpen your senses and refresh your energy reserves, and a shorter nap can even sustain you through a long day. Napping can help you make up for lost sleep and serves as a supplement to your usual sleep schedule. You may need to give yourself permission to nap by making naptime a part of your day.
Feelings of guilt about napping or being preoccupied with other activities can keep you awake when you are trying to take a nap. If you need help, surround yourself with soft pillows and blankets or soothing music. Try to take a nap at the same time each day and use an alarm clock to ensure that you don’t fall into too deep a sleep. Learning to nap and enjoying its benefits can help you reclaim your natural right to nap. You nourish your being every time you take a nap. AMEN! 😘😎🌹
