Conversation – 16

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, after all is said and done I will touch upon it. Hike today was awesome and a usual spot with an Ocean view in the distance, better yet ocean breeze. It was 80’s but we did it anyways.
Looks like the Covid numbers are going up as Oodie noted. Wonder what wiil happen in the fall? I hope all the school open in the new school year if possible.
Leaving CA is getting closer but not this year.
Take it easy, enjoy the walks and hello to Poppy. -
Oodie, good to hear from you and glad your husband is out of the hospital. If you have any rehab issues, remember you can request to move to a different one or always go back to the hospital.
Gets some rest and home the rehab stay is a very short one.
Thinking of you and hubby. -
❤ this!

@oodiebom, So sorry to hear your husband has pneumonia. I pray that it clears up fast and you two are able to get on the road back here. Sending prayers to you, there’s not much I can do from this distance. But if you think I can help please don’t hesitate.

So relieved that Oodiebom has answered now! (I hope you give your cell number to someone here when you can, Mrs. Oodie.) So sorry to hear that Mr. Oodie has pneumonia and a fever.😢😭 I’ll be praying for them to safely return to Florida.💙🙏💜

Hubby has pneumonia with 101.4 temp. He was transferred last night to rehab. I am extremely tired, so will take today off and start tomorrow. I am at hotel and will take it easy. Restaurant next door. Clam chowder beckons. I contacted rehab. Cell not working right. Answering calls push button nothing happens so using one that works.😀😀
Sheba, watching news on pandemic. Not good . Please be extreme!y careful. When hubby is out of rehab heading back to Fl. because of mileage. Plan is to stay until our physician says he can travel.

A Self-Esteem Exercise
Having low self-esteem is a common issue — with some introspection you can start to loosen the grip of this negative thought pattern.
Our primary relationship in life is with ourselves. No one else goes through every experience in life with us. We are our one permanent companion, yet we are often our worst critic. To remind ourselves of our magnificence, we can do this exercise: “Five Things I Like About Myself.”
Begin by writing down at least five things that you like about yourself. This is not the time to be modest. If you are having trouble coming up with a total of five items, you know that this exercise can really benefit you. Be sure to include more than your physical attributes on your list, since our bodies are only part of who we are. If you are still struggling with what to include on your list, think of what you like about your favorite people, because these traits are probably qualities that you possess too. Another way to complete your list is to think of five things you don’t like about yourself and find something about these traits that you can turn into a positive.
Continue this process for a week, thinking of five new things you like about yourself each day. At the end of the week, read the list aloud to yourself while standing in front of a mirror. Instead of looking for flaws to fix, allow the mirror to reflect your magnificence. You may feel silly about standing in front of a mirror and reading aloud a list of your admirable attributes, but it might just bring a smile to your face and change the way you see yourself. Remember, it is when you feel the most resistant that this exercise can benefit you the most. Because we are constantly looking at the world, instead of looking at ourselves, we don’t often see what’s magnificent about ourselves that others do. When we take the time to experience ourselves the way we would experience someone we love and admire, we become our best companion and supporter on life’s journey. 😎😘
