Sheba, hope your sinuses feel better soon. If you have a facial steamer try it aimed at the area that hurts, or possible a wet towel heated in the microwave over it ( not too hot).

@oodiebom, How are you doing this Evening? And your husband, I hope he is getting better with each day. OODIEBOM, if you get a chance check into how you can place a ramp to your home down here. I wish we could talk on the phone. I don’t remember if your husband is a veteran or not. Take care of yourself, you need to be well in order to take care of your husband. So eat well, drink plenty of fluids and rest.

I am back at the motel. On the way here there was a beautiful rainbow against a dark cloud. There was no rain just the rainbow. My good luck charm. Even my driver couldn’t get over it. There is plenty of laundry to do, but the laundry room is On the second floor.No detergent. I am eating both lunch and dinner with him and I feel it lifts his morale. There are not many visitors here. So sad. Also by being there it is the best speech therapy as well. He is never at a loss for words. However short term is not that good, but seems to be returning slowly. I showed him the treamill. He loved it. Put it into favorites since I cannot purchase anything until we return either North or south. Please be careful in your drive to Colorado. This may not be a good time to do it.

Taci never keep yams that long they are fresh and I am not surprise something is
not living in them. Here is a little secret I will share with you.

Get two cans of Bruce Yams and make it the same way. I can guide you on that
another day. I watched my grandmother and mother who are excellent cooks all
my life I even use the same spices and real butter like they did.

Tomorrow I will show you how to make yams with Bruce Yams and you can do the
fresh yams the same way. 😎😘

Great news about your sister! This thread, don’t know how you do it but it’s awesome and you go!!!
Remember the yams? I bought 2 and stored them in a basket in the kitchen. It’s been a few weeks, yah, I forgot bout them, and now they are growing leaves. Maybe I will plant them in the back yard? Guess I am not the cook you or Xango are 🙂 Also on the food front, bought a dragon fruit in honor of Oodie, it came all the way from FL. Thinking we will all try it tonight.
It rained a little last night and is a bit humid today.
Watched some water polo and swimming today.

@sheba2011, Good Day to you. Florida has another hot day. I enjoy eating so I must cook. I also enjoy cooking, baking. I emerged myself into my work so much I didn’t learn how to cook while my mother was alive. She lived with us, I didn’t want her to live by herself after I got married. So like in many cultures we invited her to come with us. So while I worked full time, she did the cooking everyday. I didn’t start to get into the kitchen until after I retired. I watched lots of cooking shows on TV. Julia Child, Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, and now we have YouTube which offers lots of recipes from all over the world. But now I can’t stand for too long, I lose tract of time in the kitchen and then start to hurt. Still I put on some music and enjoy cooking/baking.

It’s hot and very humid in Georgia with off and on showers. I saw xango’s post in Trivia and replied. Hubby is now working on strengthening his leg muscles. As I write he is with the therapist and a walker and is doing ok. Our concern has been getting him from a vehicle to the restroom when we are on the road and then when we arrive home, being able to climb the three or four steps into the house. The other concern are the pandemic cases in Fl.. I thing I heard over 68,000 affected. Certainly, not something I relish at this time. Yes, I am ok. Yes, I am tired. But as long as hubby is all right that’s all that matters.
