This is getting hard but I am still standing I have lost six blood relatives in a year.

My husband is cool hand luke and he is doing alright he has that Paul Newman look and
manner from the movie. Bichon18 named him that. 😎

We are heartbroken but I know he is in a better place he was in so much pain.

Sheba and Mr. Sheba, I am so sorry to hear your B and BIL has passed. Hubby and I went shopping to the Farmer’s Market and this is the first thing I looked at upon arriving home. Sheba, you certainly have had a hard year. Hopefully, in the coming weeks or months you will be able to smile again.

Hubby is gaining more confidence as each day passes. He is using a cane though his knee is very painful. The memory is returning. Not sure if he has dementia or it is a covid thing, but right now I am happy with the way things are returning. I still do not have the extra pair of hands needed to help with daily cleaning and other chores, but that is OK. The chores will get done a little at a time.

Today was sunny and that is what Florida is known for. Temperature was in the middle 90s and yes, humid. Showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast. Last week we had a taste of autumn with temps in the mid 80s during the day and mid 70s at night. Since tomorrow is Friday, I will be able to wash a few plants as well as the air conditioner filter.

I was honestly hoping for a miracle, but guess his body was just too tired and weak to keep on going. It is very difficult to watch someone you care about get sick and then find there is no cure, though there are meds that do help some. Remember the good days and the smiles he brought to many faces. Please take care of yourself and your hubby. And, as you often stated, “this, too, shall pass.”
