Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

You Never Know Until You Try
It is often said that at the end of our lives, we are more likely to regret the things we did not do than the things we did.
When contemplating whether to do something or not, a plucky voice in our heads may say, “You never know until you try.” This is time-honored wisdom that encourages us to be game rather than to hold back. It reminds us that it is only through experience that we learn about this world and ourselves. Even if we regret the outcome, we have learned something, and the newfound knowledge is almost always worth it.
This wisdom can be applied to situations both large and small. From crossing the Atlantic on a boat to trying Ethiopian food, there’s only one way to find out what it’s like. We have all had experiences where we tried something we didn’t think we’d like and fell in love. We may have found ourselves stuck with nothing to read but a “boring” book, only to kick-start a lifelong passion for Victorian literature. We may have decided that sailing was not for us until we fell in love with someone with a boat. On the other hand, we may try tofu only to learn that it is truly not for us. In this case, we gain greater self-knowledge from the experience. And yet, we might still remain open to trying it prepared in a different way. The right marinade might make you a convert–you’ll never know if you don’t try it.
It is often said that at the end of our lives we are more likely to regret the things we did not do than the things we did. As an exercise to test your own willingness to discover through doing, try making a list of things you regret not having done. You may begin to notice patterns such as a failure to say what you really think at key moments or closed-mindedness to certain types of activities. Just being aware of the opportunities you missed might encourage you not to miss them again. There’s only one way to find out.

@Sheba, oh my, didn’t Chad have the most beautiful smile and dimples? Those baby blues! He was still so very handsome even into his 80’s. But then, handsome is handsome at every age. My mom and dad were still good looking in their 80’s (Mom passed at 81, Dad at 82 – both still in love and a twinkle in their eyes). My dad had baby blues too.
I agree, James Garner was great to watch in many movies and westerns, loved his smile! Oh if you pull up Laramie on utube or on Grit tv you are going to just swoon over the men that star in the show. Mmm, Mmm, Mmmm… that’s all I can say… just watch it. 😀
Oh I LOVED The Notebook! What a beautiful and tender story. True love.
I bought the poncho in blush. Did I say that already? sorry if repeating myself. You should just get it! Love the gold buttons on it! -

Cherie,
I love Celine Dion. Beautiful Bags. ♥

How exciting to actually live near Chad. I remember him from a lot of shows.
You are right there in the cradle of Actors. I want to see Robert Taylor’s Ranch.
I will check out some of the older TV Shows on the Cable Stations. So many I have
never seen. A lot of people have not seen them. When I see Maverick James Garner was
the best thing on Westerns I mean he could really act and always have a good one-liner.
I will say this one of his BEST MOVIES was the Notebook. ♥I am watching something in Iman and that Poncho in Blush and I think I posted a picture
I just may get. I have to have it. I already did damage on Heidi Daus. 🙂 -
Thank you for this post I am just now seeing it. I never judge anyone on anything.
People have their own taste for what they like to see and do. I always do my own thing.I feel you about having to Avi teeth done and I am in the same boat with Poppy.
I will have him groom next weekend and the teeth the next.Waco, Texas do have beautiful homes and they are cheaper there. Those houses would
cost even in the Midwest. I will miss that show I have to say I have not missed any. I love
Chip and Joanna Gaines did you know they have a line of Home Goods at Target? Joanna
is from Kansas by the way.I hope Avi does alright will be thinking of you and yes I do have a thread further up for you.

@Sheba, Good Morning to you too! I hope you are feeling better today. Hope your tea and chicken soup helped. I posted to you last night but I think you had turned in already. It’s down the page a bit. Have a great day! 😀 I’m not sure what I’m doing today but it will be something in the way of organizing and making chicken soup. My Bears lost. 🙁

Sheba, I forgot to say why I mentioned Chad Everett in the first place. It was because I was allowed to watch the show! LOL!
-
Good Morning in Cali. 🙂 Prayers to your daughter and family. Sending cooler weather
your way. 🙂

@Cherie,
I LOVE what you bought! I put those items in my faves for another time. Let me know how you like them. What colors did you get? I want the brocade leggings in black, the bling sweater in oatmeal and the cape top in black or purple. I got the TS in the black, espresso and grey colors, and the poncho/cape in blush.
Yay Fox and TBN! They keep me sane in a crazy world. What shows do you like on TBN? I start out my day with Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen, then I switch over to Me tv for some Beaver and Perry Mason. I also watch Drive Thru History, Perry Stone, Watchman, Jay Sekulow on TBN. On Sunday nights they play movies. Lots of good programming there.
Love the pic of the kittens at the door with the paws! That is a daily occurrence here. We had to keep Bull separated from the other older kittens for so long! Unfortunately that has resulted in them not getting along. Bull does very well with the older cats though. Laramie just got “fixed” two weeks ago so now it is the boys’ turn. Then we have to get Calianne in to do panel work on her and make she she is healthy and has had shots so she can live with my daughter. If she doesn’t work out or get along with her other cats then she will have to be an outdoor kitty here. There’s always room at the Inn…
Have a great day! 😀 -
Top of the morning to you. Enjoy this day. Thank you for the chicken soup. ♥ I know it is
good for the soul too. I think you will look great for Halloween even if there are no trick or treaters.
Plenty of close your eyes movies on. LOL! I only do The Walking Dead I cannot watch any
other horror films unless it is Nosferatu! That was made back in 1922 The first Vampire Movie
and I saw it 10 years ago. I DVR it last week to watch again. Best Vampire Movie ever.
Have fun today with Jerry. 🙂 Enjoy. 🙂
