100,000
Nice to see new games for GOTW, but really, 100,000 score to beat? Maybe if I played this before, I’d do better, but my first game was only 17,000+. HSN, please consider older games like 52 Pickup or Mah Jongg Monday Night & please keep the scores to beat at a somewhat attainable level. Am I the only doing this bad? Can anyone give me an idea of how to score higher? Instructions were limited.

Thanks Deb for the kind words. I like to play the memory and strategy games because I think they keep my retired mind sharp. As for 52 pickup I’ve been getting frustrated with that. I agree that they needed to make it a little tougher but most games it deals me now are impossible to win and never a ‘perfect’ puzzle. Just a quick side note…. if you wonder how much I play the games…having surgery on both hands next month. It will drive me nuts until I can come back in and play at the level I like! But I’ll be here in spirit!

I also thought the 100k score-to-beat was unrealistic. I have been playing this game for years also and my all-time best barely beat 92,000. I simply strive to finish/”win” the game and have fun, and my skills have gotten better over time. My advice is to relax, enjoy yourself, and your scores will automatically improve. I don’t pay too much attention to winning any prizes, but through the weekly prize-winning games, I have been introduced to games I hadn’t previously paid much attention to and now they are some of my favorites.

My trick is to give the symbols names. If they weren’t so silly I’d share them! But as you look at them say them ‘out loud in your head’ and when you see another it will register quickly and you’ll make a match. I play this game religiously and can’t make the 100,000 so don’t feel bad. I also play the 52 pickup as I’m sure you know since we often battle it out in the daily leader board and I like to think I’m pretty fast and have an above average memory. 100,000 is unrealistic. It will be a small list competing for the game of the week prize this week.

Cynsterwytche, Thanks for the response. I also put names to the symbols (in the other Mah Jongg games) such as “eyes”, “waves”, & yes, sometimes I use a really crazy word for some of the others, same as you. I never played this game tho until tonight.
I remember your name in 52 Pickup also. You’re always at the top of the leaderboard. You’re really great in all these games. I feel like I’ve known you for a long time from seeing you on the leaderboard every day.
Thank God for the chance to buy the entries for the GOTW. I usually have to buy tickets as my memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be. Reflexes still pretty good tho. Have a great weekend.

I have played it quite a bit too and I think the 100,000 mark is very unrealistic! I agree with you hold hardedly!

MissMelody, thank you so very much for your response. Looks as tho I won’t be getting any good scores for a long time to come. Thanks for the tips. You’re really a great player. Congrats on such high scores. The only way I have any chance is to buy the entries. Thanks again! Debbie
HSN, how about double tickets for these games!

It took me almost 2 years to move fast enough to finally win the dang game… This morning seeing it was the GOTW.. I got all excited, finished the last level with 55 seconds left on the clock, and was at 94,000 plus it did not give me double points.. only 60 points…
You really just have to practice, to get thru all the levels, and be quick…I use my desk top computer for social media and HSN games, I enlarge the hard ones to theatre mode, and resume at the regular screen for the simpler puzzles…-
I get over 100,000 on a regular basis even with it being the GOTW. But, since there is the option of the 20 alternate entries…does playing it even really matter. It seems that the most of the winners are those that use the alternative ticket entries…so play but don’t expect to win.
