Mr. Beams Motion-Sensing Spotlight 3-pack
I received these as a gift. Unfortunately, since my account did not order this, I am not able to add my REAL review of this product to all the HSN employee fake reviews that say how they have bought more than one or they will be buying more because these things are “just so good”. They are not. They are a pitiful 250 lumens each and each one takes 3 D batteries. They are made from cheap plastic and their biggest selling point is you don’t have to wire them up or call an electrician to have them installed. However, they are $59.99 which is a ridiculous price considering they are manufactured in China and likely cost less than $5 to produce. They feel cheap and HSN should be ashamed of selling them for nearly $60 and for writing what appear to be several phony reviews to prop up the product. My mom bought these to give me for my birthday and you folks at HSN just took her for her money. I don’t have a problem with companies making a profit but I do have a problem with companies ripping people off by selling substandard merchandise and creating phony reviews to make it look like people actually liked what they received. Even the ad you guys put together demonstrating the product shows how weak these lights actually are. Sad.

Mint- You are right I don’t know ‘for sure’ but I speculate that some of the reviews for this product are manufactured based on the content of the review. Since one cannot post a review unless the HSN website recognizes your account as having purchased the item, I can only assume someone with authorization from HSN posted these reviews that look fishy.

terrific product
got these for my daughter for her home in mn she lives alone and this helps her to feel safer at nightThis review does not describe the product at all but makes an emotional appeal and suggestion that it would make a good gift. (Sales pitch)

Mr. Beam motion lights
I love the lights. They work great. Easy to install. I have recommended to others they are going to purchase these. This review suggests others are going to purchase these (That’s called social proof in sales)

Just as advertised
I put all 3 in my back yard so they would light up all at the same time when the motion is activated. This is actually the second time I bought this product. Here again this review speaks to purchasing. In this case claiming this product has been purchased more than once (again social proof).
The best
I have 6 Mr Beams lights now, work great and the batteries last longer than other brands Ive tried over the yearsAgain claiming multiple purchases (Social proof) and making sales claims that mirror the advertising.

Great light
Love this motion light. Works great. Easy to put up. Good value for the money.Again claims that mirror the advertising.
Here are some more things these reviews have in common. 1) They are short. Fake reviews tend to be short and lack any real product detail. 2) They make emotional appeals rather than discuss the product in any meaningful way. “Easy to install” is a product feature in the advertising. 3) They have multiple typos, misspellings, grammar and punctuation problems.
So do I know ‘for sure’ these reviews are manufactured? Maybe not, but they don’t look very legit.

Ask your mom to print out a return receipt and label just send them back.

First of all you do not know HSN employees posted reviews so just stop that.
If you are not happy with the product, let your Mom know and ask her to post a review stating your experience and that you feel they are not worth the money.
These lights can be returned through the end of January so return them.
