They Sneakily Charge for Returns and Don't Tell You or Post it On the Site!
I thought I would give this store a chance since it had a few items not on Amazon. I carefully read the return policy since I was buying shoes.
The return policy clearly says “free returns”
RETURNS ARE NOT FREE!
Not only isn’t it stated in the return policy but the fee is listed nowhere on the site. It’s a minimum of $8 depending on the product and they never tell you that they are going to charge you.
$8 to return a $29 item!
When I complained they said “sorry, we don’t do free returns for BUYERS REMORSE”!
Here’s the policy. Show me where it says returns are $8.
If you’re not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, our return policy allows you to send back returns-eligible merchandise within 30 days of the date you received the package for an exchange. Simply use the HSN Return Label within 30 days of receipt to return your item for a free replacement of the same item in a different color or size. If your request for an exchange results in any additional merchandise or shipping costs, and you paid by credit card, your credit card will be charged for those additional costs. Payment methods other than a credit card may result in an order cancellation & a refund may be issued. yeah I just found this out when going over return items to make sure they were received. I was so angery to find out they werecharging shipping on every item in the box plus the box itself so that seems to me VERY WRONG AND STATED NOWHERE. I smell qvc this is what they do.

i despise companies that charge shipping for returns…it’s total BS. why should you have to PAY because something didn’t work out for any reason. & the bologna about hsn “having to eat shipping costs” give me a break. companies like this make so much money hand over fist that paying return shipping would be a drop in the bucket. these people need. to take lessons from amazon

thats right. they tell on the show to trust them and theres no problems or worries to buy this way and if you dont like it, send it back no need 2 worry and we will return 100% of the purchase price. As it turns out that doesnt include s/h and guess what else, theres addl money they charge you on the tax! omg hsn is making me so sad and anybody who says its ok, its not. if they told you it would give you the choice but when they sneak it in and tell you oh we sent out letters in the mail then it feels like being ripped off. I didnt get a letter in the mail. I feel bad for the vendors like Jay King cuz i love him and his product. guess if I ever return his stuff i will pay for s/h myself and that should help or if its on free shipping they cant charge it back. keep that in mind if you still want to buy from hsn. im not sure anymore because i feel betrayed after being a cust for so many years and thousands of dollars and I mean THOUSANDS of dollars ive constributed to support the people and the co. I thought they were good but in this day and age it doesnt seem to matter anymore. sorry for singing the blues if you cry you lose.

I think the prepaid label somewhat misleads.unless you read all the return policy.HSN will refund the shipping it if is defective,etc.But you will have to let them know you need the refund.
At one point long ago I think we were offered a few returns per month for free but that got abused so badly they discontinued it.People would buy 3 of the same item for example to try on and keep what fit best then expected HSN to eat return shipping on the other orders sent back.Now there are no free returns that I am aware of.So unless its damaged or HSN sent the wrong thing we have to pay return shipping now.Under FAQs

Return the package to the carrier listed on the HSN Easy Return Label.Charges for the HSN Easy Return Label appear right on the label. Your return fee is deducted from your refund. The charge is for the cost of return shipping. Unfortunately, HSN has always charged for return shipping. I believe it’s $7.95 for items under 5 lbs & $9.95 for items that are over 5 lbs. I feel like it’s too pricey and makes me think twice about wanting to buy / return items. Return shipping cost is also awful if you paid original shipping on the item too. Then you end up eating the cost of that shipping + the return shipping cost. 🙁

NO they did not always charge for each return item, only the box .
