Shipping
I am a first time customer and am waiting on an item that is supposed to be delivered on April 27th that I ordered April 17th, it’s STILL IN PACKING AND ITS A FRIDAY I am not seeing the item delivered on Monday as they told me! Is this the way things happen all the time? Really doesn’t make me want to continue doing business with this company! I have called and was told that it would be shipped and here by the 27th then did a chat and was told that it was coming from an outsider vendor so it probably just hasn’t been updated due to Covid-19 and that they didn’t have the information of the vendor at this time and to contact them if I don’t receive the item Monday. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

Right now I am getting items faster from HSN than from Walmart and Amazon (and I am a Prime member on Amazon). Covid 19 IS slowing things down. I get shipments delivered by UPS, USPS, FEDEX, and ONTRAC. Very seldom is the tracking info updated at this time. FEDEX seems to be the worst for tracking info. Many times the tracking info gets updated the day of delivery! And they can’t seem to decide whether it will be delivered today, tomorrow, or Monday! Wait till things settle down from the coronavirus, then decide whether you want to continue ordering from HSN.

Thank you Trekky! That makes me feel a little better! It’s just nerve racking order from a new company and things not going as you were told!

I was checking to see if anyone was having this issue besides me. I ordered a Roomba on April 14th and it did not begin to ship until April 22nd. But for the last five days it has been stuck in New Jersey where it started and has not moved. Both HSN and UPS ground say it is delayed due to circumstances beyond their control. But they will not elaborate. They will not say if the item is already lost or if the warehouse was ruined by a tornado or if covid-19 has diminished the workers or what. This item has stalled for several days and I am growing concerned. And I am peeved that the status was changed to shipped on April 22nd so that they could charge my card.

There’s something on the amazon sellers’ forum about usps items being hung up in New Jersey, so you’re not alone. They don’t give a reason, but it’s probably a staff shortage. Once an item leaves hsn or anywhere else, it’s out of their control.

I’ve had an order sent from England that hasn’t updated in usps since 19 April when it said it had been processed through ISO Chicago. It had said it was supposed to be delivered on 24 April but hasn’t come, and there has been no tracking since.

Well, I have a Walmart package being delivered by FEDEX hung up in NJ. Just says “delayed” and “delivery date pending”. I figured the package was lost and Walmart was waiting just a few more days before they decide to re ship! Wonder whats going on in NJ. So from people posting here it’s UPS, USPS, and FEDEX all hung up in New Jersey.

Maybe it depends where you live. I don’t really know. My Amazon orders are still arriving as usual and I also have Prime.

I have items stuck in places outside of New Jersey. And the packages are from various vendors. I believe the situation is slowing things around us. Workers are afraid and scarce. I will be patient and hope everyone comes through this crisis. Thank you to all who continue to work.

I just got a package from Amazon that was delayed in New Jersey but it was only for one additional day. NJ has been hit hard by COVID, right after NY, so I’m guessing the delays are due to staffing shortages at the shipping facilities there. I have a lot of stuff on order, mostly from Amazon, and I’m taking the estimated delivery dates as an estimate only. I’m in NYC and when Amazon uses their own delivery network I’ve actually been getting things earlier than the original date.

Finally called Walmart today and they are ReShipping my item. Shipping label created, It never even got to FedEx. LOL.
I am getting my Amazon and Walmart items sooner than the last few weeks. -
Here’s my problem. HSN should be offering FREE shipping and handling, reduced (the old buy more save more program), or at the very least, more of those free shipping events. I don’t get too upset when my packages are a little delayed from the aforementioned companies due to this “shut-down” when my orders were shipped for free but when I’m paying between $3.50 – $7.50 per ITEM, HSN, it is a bit frustrating and ridiculous.
Take care.
