Coupon code not being reflected when submitting order in app – BEWARE
I just wanted to post to make sure everyone is aware. I have encountered a glitch when using the app (iOS) to place an order with a discount code. I placed and item in my cart and applied the code. The code was properly applied and the total was reflected accurately. I clicked the button to submit the order, and my order was placed. HOWEVER, the order confirmation screen did not have the discount code applied – it was as if it was never entered.
I took screenshots as I was going through my order process because this has happened to me before (so a total of twice)! Just think of the number of people who ordered on the app using a code and didn’t notice! Customer service suggested that I wait until the order was received and then call for a refund. Why should I have to do all of that?! Instead I cancelled the order, and ordered through the website – and the code was successfully applied. So clearly, there is an issue with the app (I can only speak to the Apple App).
