Really disappointed with Skinn Cosmetics lately
Since Skinn cosmetics moved to hsn I do not see Dimitri as much or do not see as many products or special offers like he had when he was on Evine. Also the prices of the items I use have sky rocketed.
It has forced me to switch to Perlier and Prai.
Sorry Dimitri.

To the thin skinned person trying to defend Skinn….
Women are posting honest critiques and should not be shamed for doing so but listened to. We are the customer base you want to appeal to, after all. It is because we care and have enjoyed the products and Dimitri in the past that we write hoping to encourage improvements.
No one here is mean or ill-willed in any way, merely honest and hoping for the best on both sides. I found the posts to be written with sincere and genuine caring.

I stopped purchasing Skinn products a while ago.

Me too. I find it very disturbing purchasing rejuvenating products from a person who’s in his 60’s and yet had plastic surgeries to make him look 20! Just creepy!!
-
Absolutely, absolutely agree with you.

Now, I’m checking out different options on boxycharm because Skinny Cosmetics doesn’t seem to care much about the quality of their products anymore. I’ve been really disappointed with their recent offerings, so I’m looking for something new that’s reliable and offers great value. Boxycharm has some awesome beauty boxes with top-tier brands, and I love that they introduce new products every month. If anyone has tried Boxycharm, I’d love to hear about your experience! What’s been your favorite product from their boxes so far?

also very disappointed with them

Hey CAT911 — I so enjoyed reading your post on when SKINN was first introduced as “Parthena” — did that ever bring back memories!! For years, I used the Parthena Facial Cleanser, which was the absolute best of any cleanser on the market, and then sadly it just disappeared. The Parthena Facial Cleanser was far more superior than the present SKINN Non-Negotiables A.M./P.M. cleansers. Also, regarding the Orchid Gel (which EVERYONE loved) it was first introduced as “Daisy Gel” and then renamed “Orchid Gel” during the Parthena era. Too bad Dimitri discontinued two of his very best products. Anyway, thanks for the walk down Memory Lane!!

Dimitri has been surfing around too many shopping channels and every time renaming his brand. I was a dedicated user when he first came out with the liquid facial peels. Also when you get face lifts and facial fillers your skin does look firmer , plumper with less wrinkles. I say go for it why not if you can afford it. Common sense.: if there was such a cream or serum to turn back time it would be priceless.. Shopping channels wouldn’t be able to afford stocking it…be wise ladies..

I think sometimes someone will put a certain topic into the community search and then the old posts pop up in the results, they don’t look at the date and just hit reply?! Then it moves that post to the most current again
that’s the only thing I can think of because I had wondered too in the past!

I am curious how these 6 year old posts pop up again??? ANyone know?
I tried the skinn cleanser stuff but the mint way too strong for me.
One product of his “Take the weekend off” was, for me amazing. Of course, no longer available even before I finished the 1st jar. lol. I dont like that he constantly changes products available. I am not one who continually tries new items. I like to find what works for me & stay with it. Dont like wasting time searching for skincare products. -
There seems to be a real decrease in SKINN inventory on HSN. Wonder if the product line is leaving.
-
I was a fan of Orchid Gel. I bought it on HSN.
HSN nor Skinn no longer have Orchid Gel in inventory. The product disappeared without notice.
Orchid Gel was unbeatable.
I wrote to Skinn, and I never received a response. I call this poor customer service.

I agree with you. prices have gone up, I haven’t used a lot of care products, but a couple or three are enough for me. Now looking for other brands. many believe that creams and serums work wonders, but alas, this is self-deception
-
I agree prices are to high.Used several of his products and did not see any significant results. His skin is not the results of using his products .Let’s be honest. He has had a few face lifts to tighten lift and eliminate wrinkles . You could never achieve those results just using his creams and serums. I’m sticking with Signature Club A. Adrian is honest and upfront and what you see is what you get.
-
I must disagree with Adrian being honest. She had juicy lips & said it was due to her lip plumper. Duh, I fell for it. Awful stuff that did nothing. She had botox or something. Recall when she was first on she said she lived next door to her dermatologist & visited him often. lol I used to purchase the kits she offered, but saw no improvement in my skin so moved on.

It’s a win win for me when Skinn Cosmetics is on. I know I will not be watching or spending any money!
-
I miss orchid gel. HSN no longer has it nor does Skinn!
-
The orchid gel was great! Dimitri introduced that way back when he was at HSN under the brand name “Parthena”. He had a cosmetics/color line then that was great too (I am still on the hunt for the perfect peachy nude pink lipstick he sold then…alas). I was always so happy that he continued to carry the orchid gel through the various brands and shopping channels, but then it was gone. I know he uses quality ingredients, but the pricing has gone from a good value for good quality to unaffordable for many of us, add to that the constant reformulations, and it’s impossible to keep buying Skinn.

I only tried one Skinn product, the body cream in a jar. It didn’t work for my creepiness as promised. I switched to another product by LaRoche Posey, triple something skin cream and it really works for me. Our bodies are different and our needs are different but I try things once and if they don’t work, I move on.
