Even 22K gold plated earrings from ” Rarities” are heavily tarnished after a year. I tucked it away to give it as a gift and glad it happened in my possession. I would have been so embarrassed to give it to someone else for gift.

Thank you for a quick response to my post. I never knew gold can be tarnished. I had an antique jade bracelet mounted in sterling silver. I brought it to jeweler to dip in 14k gold. After 3 years, it still shines as a new like real solid 14k. It won’t require a cleaning maintenance. Isn’t it why do people prefer a gold VS a silver ? In a way, I am glad I found out the tarnish in my possession rather than my daughter’s hand. She probably thought she got the junk. I left a voice message to HSN executive phone line. Let’s see if anyone return my call. In the meantime, I will keep in mind your jewelry cleaning suggestion. Lessons learned, never again.! Stay safe.

Your post caught my attention because I have a similar problem with a Jewlery bought from ”
Rarities” First How did you resolve the problem you had with her jewelry?
I bought a pair of lace dangle earrings with diamonds to give it to my daughter for a special event. So I tucked it away. Finally bought a fancy box for it to give. When i opened it from HSN box, to my surprise they are completely turned into BLACK, a bit of red here and there.
Called the customer Service, she said, gold plate turns color around a year time. Because its a year old, they can,t do anything about it.
Rarities is selling inferior jewelries. Customer will never know what kind of suspicious metal she is using as a base metal. It supposed to be a sterling silver overlay of 22k gold. The earrings haven’t worn even once and now its a total trash. By the way, there is no one to reach Rarities.

Yes, I have received a quilted handbag of G. It was a used item by the shape it was in.
The stitching was coming off from the front flap and no tissue papers stuffed inside of the bag.
I posted it on customer service as ” Do not send out USED items for new orders.”
HSN replaced me with a new one which should have done it first place. Its an extra unnecessary work to wrap the old box and drive to the post office.

What an original, one of kind woman she was ! I’ve known her since 1990 when she and her husband were running Old World Weavers at D&D in New York. They were both iconic and unique love birds. Many designers and decorators including myself, inspired by their knowledge and talent in both fashion and home decor. I own her embroidery coat and few other things from HSN including the book. I truly will miss her. Yes, she not only the most fashionable diva in the industry, the lady was sharp and smart but most of all she was funny. Rest in peace Iris Apfel, I know you are with Carl. ( Husband who passed at 100)

Its my 2nd year without my Mom. I am also a mother of daughter who just had a baby.
Honor the beautiful memories of your mother, not just for Mothers day, but everyday.

Thank you so much for the card and kind words. Although I don’t actively post in HSN community, I do check in your blog whenever I can and I am a great fan of yours. It’s rather funny that I used to call my little daughter as “ Queen of Sheba “ for a good or bad situation she was in at that moments. That Queen of Sheba, gave me a precious grand daughter 2 months ago.
My mom who passed raised my daughter while I was working, and lived through and up to her wedding.
Yes, 3 generations at the wedding. Mom could have lived just one more year to witness the grand child she raised having a baby….a great grand daughter.

Hello, My dearest Mom passed away last year in the nursing home. They would not allow me to visit her due to covid lock down situation. I could not hold her hands to say good bye. I cried for months and still crying from time to time. She was living with me before she went into the nursing home. Her room is still remained the same with all her belongings left behind.
I now use her perfumes from her vanity tray and i sleep in her PJs when I miss her. I feel her all over me. It must be very difficult time for you especially for the holiday season. I understand. Although I lost Mom last year, I gained a brand new life, “a grand child”. this year. A gift for me from Heaven. So, I decided to put a huge Christmas tree this year to celebrate for the new born and also Moms eternal life. May this Holiday season bring you comfort and peace.

You don’t find this kind of pajama clothing trend in Europe or Asia. Only in America.
People spend money to buy clothes only to look to be sloppy. Yes, comfort is important but don’t you want to look nice as well.? I am a person who brought up in a different cultural . My mother never owned a pair of slacks. Yes, it might be too old fashioned, but back then, it was considered not a lady like..

I placed an order 2 hours prior to 12::00 midnight and realized the wrong item ordered.
Within 2 hour window frame, I wanted to cancel, but the computer wouldn’t let me..
Now I have to ship it back with my own shipping cost. HSN won’t give any time at all for cancellation. No fair policy !!
