Thanks so much for following up on that. Those were good suggestions (such as the banner to notify us). As for the doublewordproblem . . . If that’s all we have to deal with, not a big deal/easy fix.

That’s horrible customer service on Comcast’s part. I had Verizon and they somewhat bullied my husband into signing a contract which I found out after he died. I couldn’t wait for that to expire and when it did, I went straight to Spectrum and they have been fine–definitely cheaper by at least 50%.
The ants that invaded suddenly were also tiny little ones. From what I could tell, they seemed to come from the kitchen plumbing. I am often running water there, with dishes and food prep, so I think it was the other side, non-disposal side. When I see them, I just scrub down with Ajax and salt and make the area unpleasant. Anyway, I’ve seen how organized ants are–they are great communicators, so the scouts will tell the others not to come and I don’t have to clean up lots of dead ants. 😀
I hope your week is a nice one, take care, Oodiebom. ❤️

I also took advantage of the free shipping days on the H and the Q, and bought some more of the Periea storage–I love those; they fit well on my Origami large shelves.
It’s so weird keeping the doors and windows closed at this time of year, but when you can smell the smoke, then you have no choice. At least there are basketball playoffs and baseball to distract you. I watched the Chiefs/Texans game last night and it turned out to be pretty good. I am so thankful that the Superbowl got to air before the world became so complicated.
I have a partial solution to the ant problems: after you have gotten rid of the source, the current ants and all that, instead of spraying the Raid or whatever toxic to prevent further invasions, what I do is sprinkle and smear Comet, Ajax or whatever around the same areas and it seems to dissuade them from coming back. They basically just need a non-invitation: “it is unpleasant here and there is no food for you.” I tend to get a sudden invasion now and then when the temperatures go really high, and that approach always takes care of it and I don’t have to smell that awful lingering spray-smell.

Good night, samslilangel, and God bless you and your family.

I sure hope so. Since the fires are all the way up toward the Canadian border, you can imagine the diverse weather we have in the 3 states, even in California, there seem to be at least 3 different weather patterns: the coast, the desert, and the mountains all have their own fluctuations, and then California is somewhat divided into Southern, Northern, and then central is where most of the agriculture and farming communities are.

Oh, thank you–we would love some rain! I was praying for that this morning.
