That is fortunate that your neighbor was able to help your husband fix it. If you’re heading up north in the spring, then the vaccinations are well on their way and safety is just beyond that. I was wondering if you regretted staying south this winter, though I know the concerns of travelling are a great risk.

No, we are close to the coast and the fires are in the foothills of the mountains, about 50 miles away, but that is uncomfortably close, considering these fires are fueled by winds approx. 45-75mph. The winds are the biggest problem and the terrain is hardly approachable by vehicle or foot. It its predicted that this coming winter is going to be a dry one again and that is the other major problem here. These poor folks being evacuated were saying this is their 6th fire this year! My prayers are with them and the firefighters.
Thanks for your concern. I also worried for y’all in Florida this year, as hurricane season was a fierce one.
