Oh, uggh! I feel for you guys! This state has so many different weather zones. In the greater Los Angeles area, (I am in Northwest Orange County, almost in LA county) our weather forecasters present five or six different zones for weather, including mountains, desert and beaches.

Yes, I got the card and the appointment for the 2nd on July 15. I knew the vaccine would become easily accessible at our local pharmacy if I just waited a bit. Without a car these days, I was staying at home anyway. At this point, you can pretty much choose which vaccine, day, time and place. This is my birthday month and I promised myself I would get it done by then–missed by several days–officially, I turned 70 on Monday the 14th.
Congratulations on your “out for dinner” date. Funny to realize, only 2 summers ago we would have laughed at the thought of celebrating getting take-out, and all the other little things we get to do in recent days. Our patience is now paying off. When do you plan to go back up North?

What a lovely story!

Feeling cool so far, with a nice breeze not too far from the coast, whereas inland, the temps jump up towards the 90’s. I got my first Moderna shot last night–finally–and feeling pretty good so far. My brother got his J&J last Friday and it went well for him, with only a couple of days feeling “sluggish”. I went to the pharmacy on the corner near my house with an appointment, but it wasn’t needed. I was the only one there for the shot.

Sometimes when things aren’t working for me, I check to see if I’m signed in; even though I was signed in already, even minutes before, the system can kick you out–happens a lot. I know it’s elementary, but it is something to check and an easy fix.
