@tracy517 Thanks for posting this! I was looking at a couple of wipes that I have from work. One is called Sani-Com3201…it has the same ingredient. It says kills 99.999% of germs (no reference to viruses). The other wipe is from Purell. It also mentions only germs with the main component is Ethyl Alcohol at 62% (also a lesser ingredient in the Sani-Com).
My gel sanitizers (all brands) contain Ethyl Alcohol at 70% and states “anti-microbial.”
So, they all probably help to sanitize hands (or surfaces) but with viruses, soap and water still looks best.

@oodiebom The FAA will still NOT mandate masks for passengers and crew. United, Frontier, Air Canada have made them mandatory for crew but that doesn’t protect crew from passengers. It’s maddening that the FAA just says that they are not in the medical business. WHAT? Somebody is keeping it from happening and would love to know who it is. My carrier is waffling about making them mandatory (they are optional)…just glad I am not there. There was a doubling of reservations for today, going from around 20,000+ to 40,000+ (nothing compared to pre virus). There are not that many essential travelers. Also saw where they are planning on reestablishing a bunch of international routes next month. The spread just continues…..

@oodiebom The antibody test for you folks now would be fascinating to get! Maybe one of these days you’ll be able to have that done.

( do use gloves at the gas station; we have self-serve…those pumps are nasty!)

@SanibellSheller OH, don’t even get me started!
I’m old…I have had blood pressure (controlled)…I watch my blood sugars…and I am darned thin. I have no margin for error and I don’t even like (who does) getting a cold. I don’t even want to run the risk of getting this nasty virus. I definitely wear a mask (I now have a variety of paper and washable fabric [neighbors have been making them]) and keep my hands away from my face. I wash my hands after I’ve been out and am carefully using sanitizer (since it’s impossible to get). Gloves? I think that they are a placebo. Once you touch anything with a glove (that may be contaminated with virus), the glove is then contaminated and can just spread it. The virus is respiratory and not (as far as anyone knows) absorbed through the skin.
I will be “distancing” and wearing a mask until if/when there is a vaccine. I might consider an anti-body test but my feeling is that I never picked it up or I would have had some degree of illness (and I have actually been healthy this year). Just my piece!

@Sanibel Mary DeAngelis…kind of David’s sidekick on his shows before Stacy (sp?) got there. She does her own cooking stuff show that is usually Saturday mornings on the Q2. You aren’t missing much since the virus started…most of the programming on that channel now is reruns from the main channel.

@xango REALLY happy to be at home and not working. After 36 years on an airplane, I hate people! 🙂 So happy to be on leave of absence and sequestered in the house.
