I am in the dining room with hubs. The knee is still a problem, but am making the best with the situation. This is all due to the fall last month. The weather is the issue and that will change tomorrow afternoon. Rain chances are minimum. Instead it will be very windy. After this passes I should be OK.
I have the new Alexa and it has been a wonderful experience. She is helping me find new contractors who have experience with handicapped accessibility. She has also led me to Toyota Mobility which could save me $$ in turning the passenger side of our van into an Area for a wheelchair or scooter. This will enable me to use a switch in the van for a ramp. I never knew this existed. So many new areas to check and learn.
So sorry you are under the weather. Could it be a sinus issue. Sap has started running. Even though it has been cold, the days are now a bit longer. I have been taking sinus meds at night. So far this hasn’t been an issue. Oh, forgot to mention. I made a stop at Costco today. They have a new item. Tomato Basil Soup with grilled cheese. I bought it for hubs. He may not be able to eat the sandwiches, but he will enjoy the soup.
Take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

Did not see hubs today. Knee is giving me a problem, but managed to do one huge load of laundry. I will try to go tomorrow since I have some clothing for him due to the weather change during the week. There was a 66% chance for rain on Sunday. Notice I said WAS. We are now at 25% chance. Oh well. Guess we are still in the winter mode.
Tomorrow I will try to stop at Costco. Not sure. Also need the Farmer’s Market for veggies and fruit. If I make it, then will try to find things that do not need refrigeration right away.
Spoke to the receptionist this evening and found out that hubs was trying to go out the front door. He knows I am having some problems but to wheel himself the five miles to the house, not a good idea. The RN and Aides will watch him. Good to know that at the moment he is lucid and that is important. At least he is now getting the protein and veggies he needs and that is making the difference’.
Hope you all have a wonderful evening. I was watching the games at the rehab. Now using my computer to see all the hoopla.

@Dheba2011
Hi and good evening. I had problems with the left knee. Had trouble putting weight on that foot and was able to go down two steps and then had to call it a day on the third one which is very steep. I took some meds and rested and then tried again. Decided to stay home. Guess we are on the verge of a change in the weather. Later, after resting was able to do a load of laundry. I will definitely see hubs tomorrow to try to make up for the last few days.

Bobbi and Bob Circosta were the first hosts on HSN back in the 80s. I wish Bobbi well and hope her retirement will be as beautiful and everlasting as was hosting on HSN.

The snake story. Approximately two weeks prior to the snake, I happened to make a trip to the trunk of my car to grab a couple of bottles of purified water. The container holds 40 bottles, approximately 16 ounces each. The container is too heavy for me and as I leave the warehouse, I ask for help to get them into my vehicle. On the return with two bottles in hand, I happened to glance to my right and saw something on a chair. Thankfully, the light went on and I could see an owl perched on the back of the metal chair. Actually, it was an owlet that still had a tooth on his beak. He didn’t flinch when I spoke to him. Just cocked his head to look at me and followed where I was. It was cute/ Grey and white. I finally went into the house and said goodnight. It was gone by morning. Two weeks later I had a delivery of water from Sam’s Club which was left to the side of our front steps. However, just beyond the water I spied something on the ground that wasn’t there when I arrived home following seeing hubs. I realized that the opening for the water was near this thing. The light was on and I could make out huge scale markings and a long tail. The body was huge and right away I knew it was a snake. I really needed the water and I prayed that the creature would not come after me. I grabbed the two bottles and made it up the three steps and through the front door. I went straight to the computer and wrote a brief description of what I saw. That’s how I found what it was. Thank goodness I have not seen it since nor do I ever want to see it again. With the lake (I call it a puddle) behind our home we have quite a few species of birds, turtles, fish, mussels, etc.. There are water snakes in it as well and of course every so often an alligator. I rarely go in the back area. Now you know why.

Home today doing this and that. Took a quick break and found the clock stating it was 5pm. So much for a break. So now will play a bit of catchup to make the dent that I tried to do earlier. As for the donations, I think I may need an U-Haul It or someone’s truck. Have tons to donate and I am a happy person.
I ordered the three Flipo Mini Lights and they are cute. I needed something to put on the Dbest Trolley so I could find the front door after visiting hubs. It will also come in handy in the laundry room. Cannot wait to show hubs the new toys. These are a bit easier to use since it can hang from the trolley. It’s not only to find my way to the front door, but after seeing a huge snake in the middle of our carport, this will definitely make the walkway a bit easier. This huge snake was or is a boa constrictor. It’s gone and that is all that matters.
Today was another beauty. In the low 80s. However, the weather here is due for another change. Not sure if we will have rain and wind, but our temps will be quite low. 55-60 during the day. 35-40 at night. It will last most of next week. My warmer clothing is in the laundry room. Guess I better get a move on….lol. Never a dull moment as far as weather goes. Think I will make some hot chocolate over the weekend. Soup is in the forecast for next week as well.

I am with hubs as I type. A beautiful and warm Tuesday. I think the temp hit 76 degrees. The evening low will be in the mid 50s. Still have not used the A/C since Nov. something. Humidity is doable.
Made a stop at Sams Club. Had a yen for ribs. None. Maybe next week. Did pick up the shrimp and Cobb salad. Also a Baldacci book. Line for gas so decided to wait a day or two. May get the gas at Costco.
I started going through the never ending task of donations. So far I have marked quite a few boxes with a “D.” Makes me feel good to donate where someone could use them. It also means more room in cabinets and closets. Of course that means more stuff. Who can resist.😇😇

I enjoy reading. I love saying I visited that city or country because of the novels that I picked. It’s like being on vacation. No, I have not read any books by the novelist Richard Osman. You are not the first to recommend his books and therefore he is on my wish list.
I found a couple of walking sticks in hubs closet. I tried using them a few days ago and it works. So much easier to use those as a cane rather than hubs walker which you need to lift to take the steps. I refuse to use tennis balls on the rear legs. The weather here has started to change to spring. Good time for me to be outside without dealing with the humidity issues along with the higher temps. Yesterday’s weather was something else.
Again, thank you for taking the time to offer another great author.

To answer, I use both Chrome/Google and MSN, I should also say that there are some videos that can be watched and listened to. I also use the Silk Browser that came with the Amazon Fire Tablets and that includes the Max. These non verbal videos pertain only to your website. Cannot vouch for Facebook since I do not go to that website and that includes X and others. At first I thought it was my computer, but I have the same problem on the other devices including the cellphone. What I see is a half circle or a full circle where the icon should be for the voice. When you click on that area, the video returns to the beginning of the segment. I actually thought it was a glitch pertaining to my electronics until today when I read that others were voicing the same concern.

Good Evening. I was just outside. No moon or stars yet it is supposedly a clear sky. Go figure.
I did not see hubs today or yesterday due to a real bad lower back pain. This is primarily due to the weather. Last night was very windy. Lost electricity during the night and everything needed to be reset. I suspect it was either due to the wind or severe lightning. It is still a bit breezy The low for tonight will be in the mid fifties. Tomorrow’s high, mid to upper seventies.
.
Garbage and Recycle is tomorrow because of President’s Day. I just put the recycle at the curb.Another one of my favorite mystery writers will have a series beginning next month on Amazon. Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman will be starring. The novelist is Patricia Cornwall. Her main character is Kay Scarpetta, Medical Examiner. Her books are great reads and very interesting.
Have a great evening.

I found hubby sitting in a wheelchair while on the way to the dining room. How long he sat there before someone wheeled him to his spot I have no idea. He was excited to see me. I made a stop at Culver’s on the way to the rehab. I picked up a salad for myself and bought their frozen custard for dessert. He ended up eating mine as well. I also brought candy for the RNs and aides as well as to the receptionist. I also included cans of sugar free soda for hubs. Dinner was puree food which actually did not look bad. He said it was delicious. He turned down the vanilla pudding for dessert. I surmise he was saving the appetite for the frozen custard. The RN on duty had refrigerated the custard.
I did not realize that I am now allergic to the sugar free ginger root beer soda. Started to feel funny and took my allergy pills right away. I left shortly thereafter when I realized I needed the Benedryl and took it as soon as I arrived home. I am staying home today to do some needed work and also things that do not make me bend or stand for long periods. It is windy here and showers are expected tonight. A cooler day is scheduled for tomorrow, but it will only last a few hours. Hoping we will get some rain soon. We are down almost 20″ We do have a rainy season and that comes during the springtime.
I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day. Take care and stay safe and warm.

I did a few things around the house and then went to see hubs. He was just finishing his dinner when I arrived. I brought something for myself to eat. It was like having a picnic. I also brought a couple of cookies. He is still coughing. and I’m not sure if it’s due to food. It sounds more like a bug. He is extremely congested. Tomorrow I will make a stop at Culver’s for their frozen vanilla custard. Not sure yet if I will also make a stop at the Farmer’s Market for their homemade soup. He asked for Asian loose tea which we have here. It will be worth a try.
Felt good to drive with the windows down and feeling the breeze. Going home, a different story. I had to use the heater. I nearly froze going from the inside of the rehab to the outdoors. Made some soup as soon as I entered the house. It was a good move.
Happy Valentines Day to you and your hubby. I have nothing planned except to be with hubby.
Have a great evening. Stay warm.
