In the meantime, I’m continuing to play and accumulate points. I have found two games that still award points and I will continue to play them as long as points are given. Trying to get enough points to hit 19 million. Right now I’m about one hundred thousand shy of my target so if Odie is right and it takes a few months maybe I will reach my goal. <VBG>

“6” other months. Don’t count January!
I’m here tonight in balmy Iowa where it’s more like early March than January. -

Good evening everyone and Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to one and all! I know I don’t sign in often but I’m celebrating a tiny achievement this week. Yesterday my total points (or tickets to some) hit the grand total of 17 Million! Obviously, I’ve been at this for quite a few years and that represents untold hours/weeks/months or maybe even years of time wasting. VBG Oh well, being old (turning 85 in 3 weeks) not much else I can do except watch TV and listen to TV while playing games. Right now a rerun of Law and Order from 1995 is playing. Nothing on the big 3 network channels caught my interest. Have a good evening friends! Iowa is in the midst of negative temperatures and a blizzard. Sigh.

not much from me tonight. had surgery on my left hand Wednesday and now ensconsed in a big, bulky splint which will change to a regular cast on 6/21. only allowed to use my thumb on the left but thank goodness I can do that. after 6 weeks comes lots of therapy but it will be worth it to get full use of my left hand again. of course, I’m left handed! all of this to repair a slipping tendon that caused an inability to use my index finger because my hand locked up every time I curled that finger even slightly. what fun learning to use my right hand for routine chores such as eating and writing!

Hi, Sheba! I’m here but with an abbreviated presence. My left hand is not functioning very well and is slated for corrective surgery on June 8. As long as I don’t use my index finger not too bad but, of course, I’m left handed!

Funny you should ask — haven’t received the new fall vaccines yet because I came down with Covid the day after working at our local Des Moines Kennel Club annual fall dog shows. Was there for three long days doing my volunteer stint and on Monday woke up to a raging sinus headache and extremely sore throat. That was on Monday. On Thursday with worsening symptoms took a Covid test which proved to be positive so have been secluded in the house for the last week and a half. Hope to get my vaccines next week but only time will tell since I don’t know how long I have to be “well” before they will administer the shots. Sigh.

Everything is fine with me. I went through a bit of depression back in June when my little papillon that I was exceedingly close to died unexpectedly. It was a total shock since she was the only dog I had at the time an none there to hold to release some of the grief. About 3 weeks after that my closest friend brought her most loved female papillon, Winnie, to me. This little girl was so used to my home that we both referred to my house as her second home! She actually stayed with me for five weeks when my friend’s husband died at their son’s home on the East Coast. There was also the issue that a younger show dog in the house was trying to take over the position of “head ” which results in some pretty bad fights. Ergo, Winnie in my house is a whole different dog since she isn’t being challenged every time Kara laid eyes on her. For me to get a new puppy was out of the question since I am 85 years old and have some mobility restrictions that would make it very difficult to take on the training of a new baby dog. Life is good now.
Hope we “see” you on the 25th and pray your husband is doing well.

Great night in Iowa, Northern Lights in the sky and the Iowa BB Women shining brightly in Seattle with a great win over Colorado. Great players from the University of Iowa and the top two players on our team actually went to High School less than a mile from where I live. Top player, Caitlin Clark earned 31 points in the 80+ game score. I believe they said this is her 5th time this year for 30+ points in a single game. Go Iowa Women in the Elite Eight!

I’ve been ambidextrous pretty much all my life except for eating with utensils and writing.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. They are much appreciated! I’ll be eating a lot of finger food for a few months since my right hand is not dominant. The index finger is immobile. so holding cutlery has become a real problem. I see lots of cheese and lunchmeat sandwiches in my future. Also, air fried chicken strips and pizza. LOL

We will never know. I think they made up this question out of thin air. One definition said military rank between Captain and Lt. Colonel. That would be major but the twisted mind that wrote this question says NO.
