I know as I’ve seen labels like that, too. What seems odd to me is the fact these items “are known to cause cancer…”. Yet, it’s usually only lists CA as recognizing this fact. Does this mean everyone outside CA is not susceptible to cancer? Of course, I’m being facetious. When I found those labels in 2 high-end handbags, I returned them. No questions asked, plus given a $100 gift certificate for that store.

I read the descriptions on a few other of the Muk Luk brand & they did not contain the same warning. There are 2 brands of handbags (not sold on HSN) that carry the same warning. Reading the labels on everything seems well warranted.

True and it’s not just the color of the boxes. It was that the earrings were put within that plastic bag (banging and scraping against one another). I felt insulted to receive my beautiful Heidi pieces damaged due to their shipping practices. As I’d stated I have a friend that is a jeweler. He buffed the scratches out for me. Has there been anything said about those awful gray boxes? It takes away from the elegance of Heidi pieces. (Other designers as well). Has there been anything said as to the reason WHY the Heidi earrings are NOT placed securely in a presentation box as they always had been in the past? I’d also gotten an a few expensive Heidi necklaces in those ugly gray boxes. The necklace was NOT even placed in the box properly. These issues fairly are new. What’s up with the big jump in shipping & handling changes? Has anyone heard to the reason by such an increase? As I’d said the s/h for a SHEET SET is $7.50. As soon s I saw the s/h $…it wasn’t worth it.
Thanks Jackie. I’m a bit surprised more aren’t asking the same questions.
Kindest Regards

This is exactly the way it is with two of my sisters. Once they had their few items paid off, they discontinued use with that bank. You were right when you stated that they ‘set their customers up for failure”. Definitely NOT a good business model. Thank you for your post. It verified my sisters’ experience. They thought it may be just a ‘fluke’. Seemingly, it’s not. It’s the way they do business. VERY disappointing.

Sheba,
Yes, I have a pet. She is a joy. She is also physically challenged due to age. Every day with her is cherished. I also certainly remember that Heidi piece I gave to the waitress. Yet, I do things like that all the time. One thing I’ve learned while serving overseas in so many nations is that we are ALL more alike than different. Each one of us can positively impact the lives of others. The opportunities are endless. All one needs to do is look up & “see” those around you. There are so many ways to affirm another’s dignity & worth. Smiles & caring need no translator.
Your reply meant a lot, I’m grateful. Kindest Regards …
