@bichon18, @Sheba,
Aww, thanks! Everything you say is true. I am me though but my weight gain has been very hard on me. And my heart issues tire me, getting dressed is a chore some days. The weight is what has effected me the most because I’ve always had a good figure and always dressed nice, very Marilyn Monroe-ish. I got attention and now, I just feel invisible. But, as my daughter tells me, I have a great light inside of me and a life-loving personality that cannot be squashed so I just have to find my way back. I am working on it – all of it – my health, my weight. I’m not comfortable with attention now because I have purposely down played myself for a few years due to my insecurity over my weight gain. I know it will take time. Some days I feel like looking good and others, well, just too tired. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I haven’t given up! When I say I dress down, I mean that I wear jeans, a nice sweater and some nice jewelry or scarf. What I would love to wear if I had the confidence would be something else. It is hard to accept myself like this because I know I can do so much better! Ok, maybe not NOW but after the surgery!
I hope that is not too much information there. Thanks so much for your encouragement. It really means a lot to me!
And yes, Amy, I AM the kittengirl! 😀 Hugs Ladies! 😀
