Good evening Sheba!
Thank you for the prayers for Isabel. She is doing well and back home now. Pain meds, antibiotics, and something for the swelling every 12 hours. She is now on special prescription food and will be for life. We picked her up from ER and set her up in a clean little kitty bed in the kitchen. The kitchen has two doors that allows it to be closed off so she can recover quietly there. She has a cone on but is handling it fine. My, how cones have changed since I was a kid and our dog had to have one! They were hard plastic back then! Hers is soft and pliable fabric but does the job of keeping her away from her stitches. She is just being a love bug! She got spoiled with love from the vets there! We just got home from daughter’s house. We wanted to make sure Isabel was settled in so we stayed awhile and washed dishes and cleaned the floor. Daughter has school today from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm. Grandson is with his daddy today.
I’m so excited for you to see a bunny again! I wouldn’t catch it If I were you (as tempted as I’d be) because it could be a mommy with babies depending on it! What cute little bunnies you have been leaving everyone! You definitely have bunnies on the brain! 😀 Have you ever had a bunny before as a pet? My daughter’s bunny is so soft! She eats special hay and lettuce, plus rabbit dry food. Forrest, the cat, loves to play with her. She is mostly white with a few big brown spots. My daughter told me that hen bunnies get scared they thump their legs very hard and can actually break their backs and die! I always let my daughter’s bunny sniff my hand and I talk to her before trying to pet her. I still have never held her because I am scared I will scare her!
Speaking of mommies… Both Alejandra and Tammy-Tabitha are being good mommies and busy with their babies. I am keeping my distance because I don’t want them to get nervous and move them. I am still not sure of the amount of babies but I’m guessing we have 12 new little precious kittens. I can’t wait to really see them and touch them! 😀
What have you been up to today? Glad to hear you and Cherie both enjoy your D.J. products. I bought some too but I haven’t used them yet. I am confident I will like them. I returned the Dooney and Bourke bag; color wasn’t right for me, nice bag though.
I am off for an evening walk…
Shout outs to everyone! Hugs to ALL! 😀

Good to see you posting loaf! I’m glad you had a Happy Birthday! 😀 Hope Bella and all the family are doing well. Has it warmed up for you or do you still get snow this time of year like Sheba? Have a great day! Kitty hugs! 😀

@Cherie,
Thank you so much for the prayers for Isabel! She came through surgery fine and everything went well. I will find out more detail today. Last night she was still coming off the effects of the anesthesia so wasn’t eating yet. The sooner she eats and is back to normal, the sooner she can come home. 😀 She had a temperature after the surgery but it returned to normal last night so she seems to be recovering well. Can’t wait to get her back home where she belongs. She is a beautiful Calico/Ragdoll blend. Very fluffy and soft! She has one blue eye and one green eye.
Thanks for the suggestion for the P. Dean air fryer. I will look into it. I know hubby wants one.
I remember dressing my kids for Easter and Christmas! Suits for my son, and frilly dresses for my daughter. Such fun times and I miss those days! Enjoy them! They are special times!
Adorable little praying kitten, Cherie! 😀
Have a great day! Kitty hugs! 😀 -
Hi Sheba!
No, no bunnies here but we do have ducks! They are very cute and friendly! The same couple visit at the same time every year and stay for 2-3 months until it gets too warm. They will be leaving soon. 🙁
My daughter has a bunny who she rescued (literally, when a substandard “human” threw her out of his car window while driving in front of her on the highway)! The bunny now is happy in her home and very much loved.I am requesting prayer from you and anyone that can offer some up today. My daughter called earlier that her cat Isabel was bleeding all over the floor and in a lot of pain. She took her to the Vet ER. Isabel has had pain meds and tests to determine she has very large kidney stones that require surgery. We are going down there in a bit to sit with our daughter and settle the bill because the ENTIRE bill has to be paid before the surgery. Meanwhile, poor Isabel is in pain…
Shout outs to ALL. Thank you in advance for your prayers. I will update later. Kitty hugs!

@Cherie,
Oh, I know! In a few weeks you will probably hear me squealing with delight all the way down there! So cute and fluffy! 😀 I hope my ideas for kitty homes will pan out! I really hope so! It’s kind of the best thing next to keeping them because I will still see them every now and then, get pictures of them and know they are loved! I sure hope they want them as much as I want them to have them!
Hubby’s fish tacos and air fries sound great! I need one of those air fryers! I suppose it’s much easier on you since it’s not drenched in oil. I can’t handle fried foods. Which brand do you have?
Have a great day with the hubby and kiddos! Hugs and kitty hugs! 😀

@Sheba,
LOL! Boy, you can say that again! 😀
I will post to you later when you come on and make your space for me. I know you like things in order. Hope you have a good morning and you feel better. 😀

@Cherie,
Yes, I finally got some rest last night and I’m ready to get to work on the garage in a few. Well, as ready as I will ever be anyway. Tomorrow we have a friend coming over to help with re-hanging closet doors. They are too heavy for hubby to handle alone. He is also helping with staking up some large rose trees.
I wish we all lived closer together, I would definitely give you all some of the baby kittens because I know they would go to good homes and feel lots of love all their lives! 😀 I really am hoping my son can drive down and get a couple but I doubt it. I know he would adore them and they would help his older cat not be lonely when he is at work. My daughter has her house full and is planning on moving after graduation so it’s not a good idea for her. I am going to see if my niece (the one who just had the baby) would like a couple to grow up with her new baby but she may say she has her hands full too. I understand but really, kitties are not too much to take on. I will wait a while before I ask her. They are moving up closer to family in 3 months – from San Diego to near Ventura. he will be stationed there for the next 3 years. They used to have two rescue cats who went to Japan with them for 2 years and back to the US. They have passed away and I know they really loved them. I hope they can open their hearts to one or two more now. We will see…
Have fun picking out that chair! Your Captain is one thoughtful guy! Give him some big hugs from me for making you so happy! 😀 Have a great day! Kitty hugs and kitty kisses! 😀 -
Good morning! So good to see you posting! Glad all is well and the grandkids are fine. Hope that ear gets looked at soon. Dressing up in ballgowns for lunch would be fun and it sure would turn heads! My mom used to be one of those red hat ladies and she turned heads with her beautiful red hat! It was lovely! I keep it on a shelf in my closet so I can see it every day. It is right next to her old nurses cap ( from back when nurses wore caps). My mom was head nurse for the N.I.C.U. (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit). She LOVED babies. 😀
I used to do a great Tarzan call too! I could have given Carol Burnett a run for her money! Lol! Haven’t done one in decades so I doubt I would be able to now. Maybe with some practice? Can you still belt them out?
I am sorry I missed your birthday! Happy Belated Birthday! I hope it was a great day for you! 😀
Have a great day and weekend. Sending hugs and kitty hugs( LOTS of kitty hugs)! 😀 -
@Sheba,
Good afternoon! I haven’t slept in 2 days and I just wrote a detailed post and it poofed! I’m going to try again but this one won’t be as detailed because I am so tired!
Update: I said last night that since Alejandra was eating she wouldn’t be having her babies. Well, she proved me wrong! Sometime between dinner and 11:00 last night she had her babies! I have no idea how many because she appears to have made her little nest for them deep in the Nandina “forest”. It’s in the backyard, off of the kitchen/family room. We have lots of huge 8 ft tall Nandinas growing against the fence, under a huge tree and it is virtually a forest in there! She and the babies will be dry and warm there. I didn’t sleep because I was worrying that they were strewn all over again but we went and as quietly as we could checked the yard last night and listened very hard for cries but all was quiet. 😀 Bart is hanging around too which is a good sign because he is the protector of baby kittens and he wouldn’t be here if they weren’t with their mommy.
Now on to Tammy-Tabitha,
She moved her babies to the front yard under some very dense bushes (the same ones where she had Jess, Harper, Laramie and Pumpkin. They will be undetectable for about 5 weeks until they start venturing out. At least that is where we think she moved them. We don’t want her to feel nervous by checking in the bushes. We will be working very hard on the garage so hopefully we can coax them all in there at that time so there are no more stolen babies. I still hurt from that one…
I have not slept in 2 days due to worry over all this and so early this morning (3:30-4:00) I was in the kitchen and Tammy-Tabitha walked by the kitchen door with the calico baby in her mouth! She had begun moving her babies at that time and worked all through to this morning! I think there are 6 babies but not sure when they are huddled together. They are really good sized babies and all clean and fluffy! I do know she has a calico, a grey and white, and a black and white. I think there might be a solid grey. I know who the daddy is of that one and he is beautiful with bright green eyes. We tried so hard to shoo all those boys away!Thanks Sheba, Cherie and Taci for your congrats on T-T’s babies! 😀
Hubby is at cardiologist now going through some testing. It will take 4-6 hours. It has been a long day (and night). I really hope I can sleep tonight. Last night my tooth also was throbbing and contributing to my difficulty in sleeping. I have another consult set up for the oral surgery and I will also be seeing both cardiologists just beforehand so I will get everything taken care of soon. I am hoping my son can drive down in about 6 weeks and take a kitten or two. I’m not sure he can get the time, plus he may be moving within 6 months. I am going to hope anyway! My daughter already has a bunny and 5 cats. She has taken in Calianne (the calico down the street that was abandoned). She is sooo happy in her new home and is quite sweet. She is fitting right in with the other kitties. 😀
Well, I’ve got to eat lunch and get some laundry done. I am going to take it easy today and veg in front of the tv so hopefully I will get to doze off a little. Please keep us all in your prayers.
@bichon18, if you are reading this, I hope you are having a blast! I miss you!
@southernlights55, I hope fur baby is recovering well and feeling better every day!
Have a great day! Hugs and kitty hugs to ALL! 😀

UPDATE:
Went out to look for Tammy-Tabitha and to take another box outside to put under the patio table (it is in a secluded corner and has a ledge underneath it) and guess who was there with her beautiful little babies? Yep, Tammy-Tabitha! She got scared and left her box so we talked gently and reassuringly to her and decided to come back tomorrow with the box for Alejandra. Since Alejandra is eating dinner, she isn’t going to have them tonight and we wanted to leave Mommy alone with her new babies. I am relieved she had them in the backyard so at least they will be safe and not stolen! One of the babies looks like a Calico like Mommy! Oh, why do kittens have to be SO CUUUUUTE? Precious little babies… my eyes are tearing up. The miracle of life.

Tammy-Tabitha has not been around all day except early this morning and ate very little. Alejandra was here for dinner but she is slowing down. I think Tammy-Tabitha is in hiding, having her babies. I think Alejandra will be another day or two. I don’t think I’m going to get that sleep tonight after all… If I had emoticons, I’d insert a worried face here. Sigh. Lord help them…

@Sheba,
Feel better! Get some rest! I can’t keep my eyes open so as soon as I eat dinner, it’s ZZZZzzzz time for me! Nite! 😀

I want those shoes! NOW! Lol! 😀

@Cherie,
Thank you for all the prayers for everyone’s fur babies! 😀
My, what a nice surprise from Hubby! He is a keeper! I love it! I don’t have the ceiling height in my home for that piece except the living room and it is full with a giant bookcase. I love cherry wood! I also love mahogany and walnut. My house has all those woods, from antique to newer. It’s a beautiful piece and I hope you enjoy it very much! 😀
I am in search of a new bed! I have a pretty metal one in a verdigris finish. It’s pretty but I am wanting a mahogany four poster to go with the dresser. They are hard to find these days, everything is either upholstered, modern or very chunky. I have been searching for a couple of years. I am probably going to have to go down to L.A. The Ethan Allen we had here went out of business and they don’t offer online anything that works. Antique stores don’t have California King. All the wait will just make it sweeter, right?
Your Captain scored major points with that lovely piece! I’m glad you are so excited and i don’t blame you! Enjoy! 😀 Have a great day! 😀
