@dvard , plastic is a petroleum product, which is on the prop 65 list.

Thank you for replying, @hsn_angela I don’t think a replacement would get here either, or not for a long time anyway. I think the earrings will get here eventually, maybe in a couple more weeks. If they come damaged, stepped on and crushed, I hope I won’t have to go to the trouble of sending them back. Almost everything I order goes thru Morrow. GA Mail Innovations, and that place is a nightmare.
Also, I have a face powder that been stuck/lost in Montgomery, AL for 6 days. Usually when an order gets to Montgomery I’ll get it the next morning. But it’s been in Montgomery since Jan. 3rd. I thought for sure I would get it today, but nope, it’s still in Montgomery.
Ordering from HSN has become a lost cause for me, due to Mail Innovations. Very sad.

@yellow-rose14, oodiebom is right, you have to keep the plated jewelry in anti-tarnish boxes. I will add, you have to be careful with the plated jewelry. For example, take your rings off before washing dishes or anything that might get harsh chemicals on the plating. To compare, I never had to take off my 14K gold wedding band, nothing hurt it and it never tarnished. It probably had some minor scratches on it, but it stayed bright and shiny.
The best thing about plated jewelry is you can buy a lot of it. With solid gold, you might have to limit how much you buy due to the cost.
