We finally figured it out this morning.
I talked to HSN and that person sent me to Synchrony. The person from Synchrony wanted to
send me back to HSN but had said something about a 3 way call and I said “YESSSSSS Please.”The new person from HSN was wonderful!!! She figured it out. My initial card number for Synchrony ended with the same 4 numbers that the NEW number ended with, and whoever was cancelling the OLD number cancelled the NEW one instead. So I could not make any purchases with that card. I am so glad Synchrony was on with us because they are going to issue a new card to me.
Problem solved.
