I agree with you. You must be talking about the man who would be a dictator. I no longer play the games on HSN, since they changed their game platform, so I don’t see the ads anymore – thank goodness because I would complain as you are. I used to play the games each night but now I rarely use the HSN site, especially since closing their charge card that was going to charge us for paper! However, I remember the last time this person was running for office, and I was on HSN nightly, I was extremely unhappy to see him in their ads. HSN is a shopping network and there should not be any political ads accepted by them to run on what is supposed to be a neutral platform. I complained and asked them not to run any political ads as it makes their ads unwatchable and makes them look biased. I know they don’t care what ads they run as long as they receive $ for them, but they still should not run political ads since they are bound to turn many customers off. Now that you mention these ads are running, I am glad I no longer play games on their site. Actually i find myself saving lots of money. You are not alone in your thoughts on this matter.

There are no prizes anymore and not much incentive to play and so after trying the new arcade for about a week I totally stopped playing. The ads are annoying and I have found another free site to play on which only has one quick ad after a full game with nothing distracting while playing the game. Actually it works out well for me because I seem to be buying and spending less, I am no longer watching every night so I’m not being enticed by what is going on at HSN by the little box that showed the products as I was online playing the games. .I enjoyed playing the games each night while watching HSN TV on the screen and have been lucky and won a couple of times over the years. I had a feeling the HSN theme “It’s Fun Here” would end when HSN was acquired by the owners of QVC. No problem though, I did have fun, but all good things come to end. Although I will buy less I will still buy a few things I feel I need – mostly Andrew Lessman vitamins which are basics for me, but I don’t have to watch any shows to replace vitamins – I can just go online when I need to reorder, It will save me money because there will be no more impulse buys which was happening too often anyway. Best of luck to the players that still enjoy the HSN games.

Today I cancelled my HSN card. It’s a shame because I have used that card for many years. However, I refuse to pay $1.99 for paper statements and I do not want to get any charge statements coming to my email address due to the fact that I ended up on the Dark Web by paying something online. Because of that I do not do anything that has to do with $ on the internet. Fortunately having paid my bills on time I never found interest rates a problem because I have been careful to pay my bills on time. However, getting a bill in paper every month would be almost $24.00 a year – it’s like being taxed to use their card, and I can’t image that sending out statements are not already factored into the cost of doing business. So , I had three cards from Synchrony for different companies and I cancelled them all. Now I will use a Master-card that I get back 2% in cash rewards,on each purchase, so I will actually come out ahead. For all of you saying eventually all cards will charge a paper charge, I will deal with that as I go along as I will never again do anything with money online – too many scammers out there and unfortunately there are no internet police who catch these guys!

I agree with you. I have not received the HSN /Synchrony letter yet, but when I do I will call customer service to tell them why I am canceling their card. I actually already received the Synchrony Letter for two other charge cards and I already cancelled the cards and called customer service of each company to tell them why. I told them I expect you will be receiving lots of calls and card cancellations As for myself, I pay the total of the bill each month so I do not get charged interest. However, the paper charge is ridiculous and I refuse to pay a paper fee. Furthermore, my email address is already on the dark web because of bills paid by computer. I will never again use my computer to receive or pay bills. For me it is paper or the highway!

I don’t play much at all anymore. Not interested in avatars or worthless coins. The fun was having the possibility of winning something – even if it was a small thing that introduced you to a new product, and the fact that you didn’t win a prize very often. That said, over the many years I did win a couple of times so it was well worth coming to the site to play each day. That was what kept us coming back to the site every night. Now it is not necessary to visit the site every day – I just come to the site if I need something to order it. I do buy less because I do not see the videos of products they are selling each day which I watched as I was playing the games. Maybe that is for the best. If you don’t see it – you don’t buy it so it saves me money,LOL!

I did NOT get a letter about this for HSN yet, but I am expecting one because a already got this notice for 2 other company’s charge cards. It is SYNCHRONY BANK, who handles many companies charge cards, and it is Synchrony making these changes. I do not mind the high interest rates because when you use the value pay system and pay on time you never get interest. I always pay on time so I personally don’t care about this increase. However, I do object to a $1.99 charge each month for a paper statement. So a bill every month will add up to about $24.00 a year for just paper. Paper charges are ridiculous and I will not pay for paper! It’s not even the money, It’s the principle about paying their paper fee when a whole pack of paper I buy for my printer only costs a few pennies a sheet. I think it is their way of trying to get us all to pay by electronic means. I do not do anything with money via phone or computer because my info was already stolen once and so I no longer pay or look at billing info on the internet. Therefore, I will be canceling my cards from Synchrony as I get these notices. If I want to buy something on HSN, I can use a Mastercard or Visa. It’s really the principle here – I won’t pay for a paper bill. I will only use a charge card that doesn’t charge a paper fee!

Yes, it happens to me all the time. It seems when you do a great move and score two large dolls at the same time it just can’t add it up. It is very frustrating. I close the game immediately as there is no sense finishing it since you can’t up your score after Nan and basically get 0 points after that. I have asked the HSN team to fix it many times. I thought they did, but it still can’t count high scores in one move.
-
Yeah! Looks like they finally fixed Trizzle – no more “NAN”. Thank you HSN!
-
From what I can tell, “NAN” only occurs when you are lucky to form two big dolls ( three little ones make one big doll), in the same move. Its like the game cannot add that many points to your score at one time. Next time you get “NAN”notice if you formed two large dolls in one move. It does happen and you really should get double points instead instead of “NAN”. NAN happens to me every time I score too many points this way in one move. The game needs to be adjusted.

I agree with you. I never open any bills on line or in fact anything that comes from a bank or company that has to do with money – I just delete emails about accounts, applications for charge cards, and anything about money and bills immediately then go to my delete box and permanently delete them. Several companies I paid on line a long time ago were hacked. These were good companies that got hacked and our info went to hackers so the companies are required to notify us that our info was taken. I was advised to change all my passwords which I did and have been notified by a credit agency that my email address is on the dark web and there’s no way to remove it from the dark web where personal info is sold, so change my passwords. This is why I have cancelled all my Synchrony charge cards. I will not be forced to get online statements or pay online and I will not pay a “paper fee”. SO far Paypal has not been hacked and it is the only way I pay on-line, but I prefer paper and mail.I mail checks as payment. I never write my full account number on my checks and my address is not included on my checks. Lots of people don’t know that you can just have your name on checks without your address. The less info out there – the better.
-
I used to pay online until the department store I paid got hacked. I am now on the dark web because of that. You can’t get off the Dark Web. You can just be cautious and change your passwords. I now have a service with Experian to track my credit because of it. I will never open anything concerning payments or bills or banks via the internet. It might work for you, but did not work for me. So glad you were never hacked through a store or site you bought from or on an on-line banking account. Best wishes for continued good luck. As for me – no statements are opened or paid online and no on-line banking. I will take my chances with the mail – hasn’t let me down for 40 years!

Are you saying you called QVC customer service and they changed the fact you will be getting paper statement charges because they waived the paper charges, or that they changed your QVC card to a different card like a visa or master card? I already canceled two cards handled by Synchrony as I refuse to get a paper charge and I do NOT want emails concerning bills since my email address has already been put on the dark web because a few years ago Target and two other large department stores I used were hacked so now I have to have a service to get alerts if something on my credit reports look weird. It’s a pain! I will not pay paper fees and I refuse to get bills and pay on-line. I did not get the Synchrony letter for HSN yet, but I will call them tomorrow to let them know if I get paper charges I will cancel their card and use a visa. I better call because I did not receive that notice yet and I do not want the surprise of being hit with a paper fee!
-
Exactly! Use a Visa or Master card to make your purchase. I am certain that many company’s cards operated by Synchrony will be cancelled. I have already cancelled two other cards run by Synchrony. When i receive the HSN letter I will cancel it too. And Yes, I will use a card where I receive 2% so it will actually work better for me.
-
I pay the “full balance” when due,,on time, on my credit cards, so I don’t get charged interest. I am careful not to over buy and make sure I can keep the charges per month reasonable. However, I am not going to be pushed into electronic statements because SYNCHRONY is going to charge a “paper fee” of $1.99 with each statement they send. That could add up to about $24.00 a year! I feel that’s unacceptable as a sheet of paper bought in large quantities costs about 2 cents a sheet. I do not do anything concerning credit cards or money via the internet. My info was already stolen by hackers who hacked a large responsible well-know company – took my card info and now my info is on the dark web. Of course I had to close that card down. Sorry SYNCHRONY – any cards that you pull a paper fee on will be canceled by me and most likely other shoppers and the companies you serve will lose sales.

I have not received the increase letter yet from HSN, but I expect it soon. I have 2 other credit cards that are handled by SYNCHRONY BANK and I have received the increase letters for them, so today I canceled both those credit cards. For me it is not about the higher interest because I pay on time and never receive an interest charge, but I am totally against the $1.99 “paper” fee I would receive with each paper bill. When i buy paper for my computer it costs a couple of pennies per sheet, so why would I want to pay for a paper bill, not to mentions that one bill a month would add up to almost $24.00 a year – it’s like a tax! It’s not the money, it’s the principle. I realize if I go to electronic statements that fee is waived, but I do not pay bills or open statements on computer or phone, because I used to do it until my info was stolen and now that email address is on the dark web, and also someone used my card to buy dinner and stuff in Texas where I have never been, so I refuse doing anything with money on the internet. Anyway, when I get the letter for my HSN account I will cancel the card. If I want to buy something I’ll use Master Card for it and get that statement without a paper fee!
