Hi ~ have you figured out how to access the games now? I’m on a mobile device (iPad), and had to switch to Chrome browser (a while ago, actually). It works just fine.

Ha-Ha… too many cocktails or no spell check?
-
Uh, when was the last time anyone received double points? Maybe I just don’t pay attention (play mainly for fun), but I’m sure it’s been a lot longer than a couple weeks!

I don’t think anyone is happy with the games, points, or prizes in the HSN Arcade! However, do you know that most of these games can be played on multiple other sites online? Even the ones that have been removed here. You probably won’t be able to win points (what does that get you, anyway?), but you can just play for fun and the challenge. AARP is one site that has games you can play for points, but they don’t always have prizes, either. Just Google the game and check out the different sites to see which one you might want to use. Have fun!

You’re obviously very proud of all your scores, since you like to post them when it’s unnecessary to be entered into the giveaway. However, looking at all your score totals compared to others, one has to wonder how you’re achieving these almost unattainable high scores. Last week, too, with Candy Mahjongg, which only has one, maybe two, certain game boards (out of about six to ten) that would enable beating the max score! So, a player has to play through all those other game boards to get to that particular one just for a chance to beat “Shannon’s Score.” You must play a LOT to get to that one board so often and have so many entries. As for the current GOTW Flip-Out, I’ve just started playing it but even going pretty fast and with lucky quick matches, I only get about half the score to beat (so far, although I can’t imagine going much faster!). Your scores are well above that, which seem almost impossible (unless you’re part robot). Are you just a game-playing extraordinaire or…?

I’m also curious why some of the winners’ names are not actual links (highlighted in blue)? They probably receive a separate notification email, but if a user’s name is typed properly, it should automatically highlight as a link (like the others). Just wondering…
Also, on the other Winner’s List from the Rewards Store, the winner of the Elite Bistro 45-Liter French Door Oven from 1/16 is HSN_444 ~ doesn’t sound like an actual player’s user name…

Any score is automatically entered into the drawing if it beats the GOTW score. You don’t need to post it/them.

PS ~ For those saying it’s possible to get the minimum score for this week’s GOTW, just look at the ranking for the week ~ doesn’t seem Iike that many…

Whomever is really responsible for choosing the GOTW and the qualifying score needs to be a bit more realistic and fair to the majority of players. Several GOTW minimum scores have been ridiculous in recent weeks (as well as the same games over and over). It’s obvious there’s not a “Shannon” or, if there is, she’s not playing the game and getting that score (it always seems to be a rounded off number, too, which is a giveaway it’s not a real score). This week’s minimum score of 100,000 is not that easy to achieve ~ unless someone has playing this week’s game often and for a long time. Most of us on here are just playing for fun, anyway, but it would be nice to know we have a chance at winning something (which isn’t much, any more, either)! And, yes, there’s the Alternate Entry we can “buy” into for a chance at the weekly prize (that’s one way to use our tickets!); however, I’m sure most of us would rather play the game and earn our entry(ies). I’ll also send this to the Help Center, since who knows will see it here besides the players…

Just wondering ~ since I’ve never had a problem with ads ~ do they pop up in the middle of your game? Where you have to click on them to remove them? Or just along the bottom, where they change but don’t interfere (that’s where they appear on my iPad). The pop-up ad situation seems to depend on what type of device or software you’re using. However, if you have ad-blocking software and you’re still getting them, I’d be PO’d. Don’t they have any guarantees? I’d contact the company you purchased the ad-blocking from or HSN about that…
By the way, if you’re just playing to de-stress (and don’t care about HSN points), you can play most of the same games on other sites ~ have you tried that?

Well, some of us ARE able to play the Daily Puzzle every day! What device/system are you on? I’m on an iPad and had to load Chrome browser to play the games after Flash went away. You just need to figure out a workaround. Chrome also works for all the other games. It might look slightly different (no Theater mode, etc.), but at least you can still play! ALSO, this really isn’t the forum to complain or get help ~ I don’t think anyone from HSN monitors or responds here. You need to send a Help message.

Hey, Valeygal7 ~ glad you think it’s fun!
Have you ever played any other slot games online? This is one of the WORST ever ~ from the pathetic bet amounts (which, when increased, really don’t make a difference like they should!) to low payouts ~ even luck doesn’t help much! It’s also nothing like the real slots in Vegas or at any other casino ~ well, maybe the penny slots…
Have fun playing ~ I’ll use the Alternate Entry option and hope they don’t select this as GOTW again!
In fact, they should just remove it from the selection of games altogether (but GSN doesn’t seem to care much about the Arcade and does as little as required with it) ~ this game is just a waste of time, IMO…

There is definitely a major problem with the HSN Arcade as a whole. I’d recommend people just play for fun and not expect to win a prize, but it’s difficult to enjoy the games when they’re messed up and don’t allow a player to achieve their best score. The Spin-to-Win game is hinky ~ the spins are not always smooth and often stop abruptly (in a non-winning position, of course). Sometimes the third reel will move one more spot after the others with two matching items have stopped, which is suspicious. In addition to those game issues, the points that are awarded for different games are all over the place, and not fairly determined or assigned. The points won are not a reflection of the score achieved, and do not increase respectively with the score. One major example is Today’s Special Jigsaw puzzle. I’m sure most people don’t get more than 200 points ~ regardless if you complete it in 5.5 minutes or 6.5 minutes (which convert to a score and then points). I’ve been trying to figure out the cutoff point to achieve more than 200 points ~ I think it’s under 5 minutes (and more than 4800 or 5000 for a score) ~ but I’ve only been able to do that once or twice, and I think I received 250 points, which is only 50 points more for moving really fast with the puzzle. Maybe someone else can add to this ~ if they know what the scale is or often achieve more than 200 pts. Most top scorers seem to be in the 4700 range on the ranking chart (if that’s accurate). I prefer not to be timed on puzzles like this one, and I think 200 pts. is pretty good compared to the other games, but if I get the puzzle done in under 5 minutes, I would like to be rewarded for that. I think even 5.5 min. is really good and should award more than 200 pts. That’s just one example ~ all the other games that I’ve played have a very messed up scoring/point system and don’t reward the appropriate points. However, points don’t really seem to matter, anymore, since there isn’t much to spend them on, so ~ whatever…

Ugh ~ this is one of the worst slots games I’ve ever played (and terrible GOTW choice). I wonder how they pick the games ~ eenie, meenie, miney, mo?
They need to select games that are more popular and played most often! There’s a reason some are not played much ~ especially the low ticket amounts awarded for a lot of effort (and wasted time). I don’t mind low tickets sometimes if I like the game (we all know there’s no rhyme or reason for how tickets are awarded, either) ~ but, this game is not fun at all. I’ve said this before ~ I don’t think there is a Shannon, but, if there is, she’s not playing the game for the score we need to beat. Whomever is managing the games needs to try it first. Anyway… I have played this game for about an hour a couple times ~ and even getting to the Bonus Round/Awards Party with the multipliers doesn’t increase the score near enough to get close to 15K. And the extra spins mean nothing ~ especially if you can’t control them. I’ve never had a spin or round higher than 1500. So, you got lucky. I’ve already gotten my alternative entries for the week.

PS ~ OOPS! I meant Shannon ~ not Angela (for GOTW scores). I contacted Angela about the Rewards Store entries. Also ~ where’d the edit option go?
