Shipping To Colorado and California
I tried to get the Curtis Stone Daily Special shipped to Colorado and was informed CO, CA and 3 other states prohibit shipping some items to those states. This item was a food chopper. I was told those states made laws prohibiting some items. It sure cuts down on what I can order. Weird.

I’m so disappointed I have arthritis so bad in my hands from working in dental I bought a cast iron pan in December from HSN but I couldn’t even pick it up . So today I was watching HSN and they were showing a “light” cast iron pan so I jumped on it.sadly, only to find out they can’t ship to California.
This is so frustrating. Makes me not even want to watch anymore . -
This is frustrating though I was able to get one of his pans sent to me.

I’m from California and was so disappointed, after three attempts to order, to find out that Curtis Stone products cannot be delivered to CA. Strange though that his products are usually shipped from warehouses located in southern CA.
I like and purchase many Curtis Stone products and this is a huge bummer. I hope Curtis is alerted to this issue and does something about it.
HSN – please let him know! I’m sure there are a lot of buyers of his products from CA, CO, and the other states where it can’t be shipped from.

Glad to see a thread on this. Very frustrating. To bypass this issue, I had to ship to my daughter in Chicago who’ll be visiting me soon in California.

Oh my gosh! Had no idea why it would not let me order. It replied over and over something regarding my address. I wish it would of just plain came up and stated the fact of unable to ship to California. It would have saved me time and my dinner would not have gone cold.
Thank you to those who explained the reason here. When I asked the chat customer service, she just said to contact my state representative. -
In the most recent GDP numbers for 2022, California if it was a separate economy again would come in as 5th largest, behind Germany but still somewhat ahead of India.. Looks like a huge market to snub for not wanting to put a little label on it. However if you have friends or families that have suffered from unknown causes of cancer or birth defects, you understand the label.

Nothing like getting all excited about a product and then being given some silly reason. That’s a pretty large market share just sitting there for a competitor.

Like everyone else, I was trying to order the Curtis Stone Food Chopper Today’s Special (Sunday, March 10) and could not complete the order because I live in Colorado. I was told by a supervisor, after asking to be transferred to understand what’s going on, that it’s because of Colorado House Bill #22–1345. I haven’t read the House Bill yet, but based on the other comments, if it’s because we’re trying to order a product that is a potential cancer concern, while disappointed, it certainly is a protection as no one wishes to have cancer.
I guess as this inability to order certain products comes up in the future, we will all learn which products we have been ordering are potential cancer concerns.

It is not the product, it is the labeling. If Curtis Stone put the label on which says that the materials on the object may be linked to cancer and birth defects. If there was a label, it is good to sell. My thinking it is all made of 3 kinds of plastic. It is because it is used to prepare foods. That label is very small and is posted on many restaurants because of cleaning products or cooking products.

I was coming here to see if anybody else had that problem. I am in CA. Ridiculous.
Well, I guess that will save me time and money because I won’t watch his shows anymore since I don’t want to want something only to find out it won’t ship here because he won’t label it.
I guess he feels he doesn’t need any of us from these states as customers. -
It is a Prop 65 label. that apparently Curtis Stone refuses to put on his outside box. The label warns that the item may contain items that can possibly cause cancer and birth defects. It is a warning label like the hazardous to small children type that warns of suffocation etc. Crazy he is willing to lose all the California business. The other states have decided that the CA warning label should be on their items too. If it has plastic parts and is used in food prep, that might be the trigger to require the labeling,

I think it’s because of Proposition 65 . Most of Curtis Items contain the warning .
