Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer

I have a Kitchen Aid 4.5qt tilt-top stand mixer with the flex-blade that I’m having trouble with. I have only used it a couple of times, but I’ve had it for a while. It has this terrible knocking noise when I use the silicone flex-blade — I mean, LOUD! When I use the regular paddles, it is fine but the paddles don’t really hit the sides of the bowl I don’t think. Took it to an “authorized” repair shop locally, but it’s worse now than it was! Totally frustrated. Any ideas? Is there a way of adjusting the planetary action by yourself?

Hi…. There should be a where you lift the head of the mixer. Just use a small flat head tool to adjust the way the beaters touch the bowl. I have had to do it also with one of my mixers. Hope this helps.
