Improvements Portable Ice Maker

Hello
I bought the Improvements Portable Ice Maker on a TSV a few weeks ago. Is anyone having trouble keeping ice frozen in its basket? I find mine slightly melted and when I place in my freezer for hours, I still need to break the ice apart as it was slightly melted already in the white basket that it freezes in a huge ice clump, when in my big freezer Also, the show says it’s quiet, but is anybody’s furbaby going crazy when the water fills up, ice is about to fall/slide into basket, and any movement in the machine do I need to build a cover to muffle the sounds (while leaving the air flow area open/not covered. Help
