Faroe Island salmon is farmed.
I wonder how salmon from there can be presented and the word farmed never is used. If you read the details about the product it does say farmed. No wild Atlantic salmon around anymore. My concern is how the salmon gets its color. Farmed salmon has color added to its feed because it is fed pellets . Otherwise the flesh would be white. Since 2003 it became legal that consumers had to be informed that color is added. No idea how HSN does not know this.

I love this quote by Mahatma Gandhi ~ “The greatness of a nation and its “moral progress” can be judged by the way in which its animals are treated. Life is as “precious” to animals as it is to us.”

I did read that Costco stopped buying their farmed salmon from Faroe Islands due to pressure from the public because apparently they also do whaling as well. Around 800 long-finned pilot whales and some Atlantic white-sided dolphins are slaughtered annually, mainly during the summer. Google it and it is very disturbing. Hard to believe HSN does not know this. Costco now buys from Norway. However color is added to the feed and it says that on the label.
