Curtis Stone
I’m not as amazed by Curtis Stone’s products as I once was.
I’ve bought pans that buckle, bang, and warp in the oven. Skillets that he’s claimed to be safe when using stainless steel but end up scratching, therfore sticking.
Non-stick after awhile that ends up sticking.
It would seem, if his items were so durable, you wouldn’t be re-buying items so often. Or maybe that’s the point.
You hear how great and wonderful something is over and over and you start believing it and discounting your own experience.
And the selling of, pot holders, thermometers, and other gadgets…personally I just started to feel a little suckered.

Curtis Stone has used his name and status to sell inferior products for years now. Can’t stand all the upselling with all the other items that are really unnecessary.
There are good reasonably priced enamel coated cast iron pieces that you don’t have to baby and will last for years. Also, you don’t need huge numbers of pieces, just a couple of the basics and you’re set. -
I have been complaining about Curtis Stone’s line for years. I have had skillets and pots replaced as the metal utensils ruined them! My beautiful red pots and pans look like hombre! I’m told to cook on a lower heat. Well, if you want water to boil on a lower heat, you will have to start dinner at 2 pm! Really!!!!! On air Curtis is cooking on high heat and getting that sizzle going. But, when I get my pan home, I can’t do it, if I want to pan to retain the outside color!
It’s a joke. And yet, there he is, so handsome….smiling and joking and cooking, and the next sucker purchases a set of his pots and pans; his silly accessories…… Really, he had the nerve to offer pots with double handles…the kind that get hot; and then sell you the silicone grippers for the pots and pans so you don’t burn your hands! Something that should have come with the set.
I stopped buying from him and just keep the TV going for noise as I make my greeting cards.

@linny, totally agree. Can you imagine a restaurant chef having to baby a skillet or pan to prevent it from warping or scratching? That would be ridiculous.

I disagree but maybe because I actually do not use high heat on anything, hand wash, and the only metal utensils I use are fish spatulas. I use wooden utensils that I buy from Pampered Chiefs or spurtles 90% of the time. I use convection and medium high is the highest I go unless I am boiling water. I hand wash things instead of using a dish washer. I have never had a problem with his pots and pans. I do find that the sheet pans buckle at high heat so I use the American made ones with parchment paper to prevent staining unless I am cooking at lower than 400 degrees. They are a heavier weight. Cooking for just one I am using Wolfgangs convection air fryer oven with Curtis Stones mini sheet pans and baking pans. .

You notice the pans have a 1 yr warranty. I enjoyed his pans. Just my husband and I and we never use metal utensils, never cook at high temps for a long time and washed the pans by hand. I did like the light weight and seemed to cook well. However they lasted about 1 year. I really liked Ming Tsai’s nonstick it still is holding up nicely going on 5 years.
Too bad his line seems to be discontinued
