Curtis Stone ~ Quality Disappoints
Sometimes I think many of the women here are the Stepford Wives of Curtis. They are mesmerized by him and are overlooking the disappointing quality of his products.
Although it says “metal utensil safe” the finish came off from stirring my oatmeal in the mornings! The company replaced it!
The large cookie sheets had to be replaced because the roasting veggies stained the cookie sheets!
Gas stoves operate with a flame, of course. Well, if you turn the heat up to just MEDIUM, the flame destroys the color of the cookware. It is impossible to bring something to a boil or seer a piece of meat without raising the heat. But if you do, it’s your fault that the color actually comes off the outside of your beautiful red cookware!
I am so disappointed and yet there he is selling and smiling, and smiling and selling!

I bought a set of Stainless Steel pans (WEAREVER),from Walmart) can use on a high heat to sear, If anything sticks I fill the pan with water , bring to a boil, turn the heat off and let it sit .
use baking soda if pan is stained.
Had the set for over 5 years, still look good, would not trade them for any other kind. -
I have to agree with you about the Curtis Stone. I bought the set of three skillets when they were offered. They are definitely not metal utensil safe. I just gave them normal use and the non stick was peeling in no time. I didn’t bother trying to return. I just decided that I wouldn’t use metal utensils no matter what was the claim. WP utensils have been good for me along with his stainless steel bowls. But I tried an electric countertop broiler and it never heated properly and I did send that back. Really skeptical. I’ll only buy Kitchen Aid appliances on the Q.

Don’t buy celebrity chef products, none of them are any good, except for maybe WP. I tried a couple of them, and when you see the chefs on their own shows cooking with stainless steel, or other brand products you know theirs are just a name on a pot. I bought some good quality stainless steel cookware, and have never looked back. Someone on here said that you shouldn’t cook them on high heat, but I have seen the cooks say you need a really hot pan to get that sear you want on other shows.
