curtis stone – handles….WHY???
WHY in the world would anyone buy pans at such a cost when you then have to buy silicon covers in order to pick up the pan without burning your hands. The pans look interesting, but, NO WAY will I purchase something that I then have purchase another product in order to use it without burning myself. It seems just a ploy to force you to spend even more money. When the simple thing would be to put a silicon coating on the handle to begin with. DUH!!!

I would really like to see silicone handles on his cookware also. I have the 14″ multi-purpose dura-pan and find it excellent for use on my induction cooktop, but there is no way I would purchase an entire set of cookware without handles with some sort of heat protection – and I agree, purchasing removable covers is not an adequate substitute. From what I’ve heard mentioned in presentations there seems to be an emphasis on being able to also put the pans in the oven, but that does not matter to me at all. I want the cookware I use on my stove to have handles designed as comfortable and safe to use as possible.

Silicon use in oven??? AH yes, there are actually many silicon baking products even sold here on HSN…So, using a pan with silicon handles shouldn’t be problem. So it seems to me that Curtis Stone use of metal handles seems more a way to get people to buy more products in order to use the pans. Think he would figure out he would sell more if you could use with out burning oneself.

I purchased Lorena Garcia cookware, from QVC or HSN, and they came with the silicone handle covers included. I can use them on any brand. I agree the CS cookware should include these covers.

I interpreted the silicone holders as an alternative to pot holders. They are more heat resistant, easier to clean and less cumbersome to use when compared to the standard fabric potholders.
