Curtis Stone food products sent by RASTELLI.
I was a bit surprised that Curtis Stone’s latest TS was sent to me by Rastelli Meats, which sells at QVC. Is this Curtis’ actual product from HIM, or is it Rastelli Meats selling AS Curtis Stone? Rastelli is awesome, don’t get me wrong but it just seems a bit odd.

Ok, I’ve following the same discussion in the QVC forum. The facts are that they are sister companies and have the same bottom line. CS and Rastelli’s had specials of the same burgers within days of each other, the only difference was that CS meat was supposedly from Australia. If they are being cut and processed in the Rastelli’s facility, how are we to know where the meat is from, especially burgers that they say are being made from the same combo of meats. We don’t, and that’s the bottom line. There are many other industries that make products that are sold under different brand names, from cars to mattresses, it’s economics 101, volume means more profit. I’m just feeling a little silly for not realizing that food – especially mass produced, frozen burgers, would be any different – duh. And BTW the CS burgers are just ok and convenient, but my local grocery store’s are better. The CS strip steaks were actually very good, but they’ve gone way up in price, I’m sorry I canceled auto-ship on those and don’t care where they actually came from LOL.

I just received the CS burger Today’s Special, and coincidentally, there was almost the same TSV a day or two after by Rastelli’s. What made me curious was that UPS said that I was getting a package from Rastelli’s, not CS! The packing slip said it was Aussie beef, but you have to wonder! If Rastelli’s is doing the packing and shipping, how do we know what we are actually getting? It’s really soured me on ordering any kind of meat or fish product from QVC or HSN in the future! The jig, as they say, is up!

I think the beef products are from Australia. The pork products from the US and all the seafood, I am not sure if both companies use the same source. I do know Rastelli cuts, package s, freezes and ships all CS food. Products, even the spices I think,l. Are very similar. Other tha crab cakes, I have not bought any of those products except for small Colette steaks that CS used to sell. Each is perfect portion for me on WW. I am getting tired of CS just seeming to have endless electronic things. .. I did buy his square electric skillet and use it for cooking short term things.

About a year ago when I noticed Rastelli was sending CS meats and seafood, I started taking note of the flavor and quality of both. Have purchased Rastelli beef from QVC and also CS meats from HSN; the same goes for the Faroe Island Salmon, purchased Rastelli and CS. On both of these meat and seafood items, I personally prefer the CS products. Not sure if the Faroe Island Salmon for Rastelli and CS are sourced from the same location. Rastelli used to be good but he is way too over-scheduled and over-inventoried on QVC and the quality of his meat has gone down, I no longer buy from Rastelli for this reason. Rastelli diminished his quality of service–recently I was to receive Auto-del. Japanese Shrimp which I have purchased for years and they never sent the item even after I pestered QVC Customer Service several times; no response or reply from Rastelli. So now I will not order Rastelli seafood; cancelled all my Auto-delivery items with him. Also, I have previously purchased Rastelli pork steaks and the CS pork steaks–they are both identical and I do not like either.

I noticed the same thing. This was my first time ordering from Curtis Stone. I have ordered
Rastelli meat before and was not happy with it. Would not order from them again. Not happy that this meat said it was from Rastelli. Also , ordered the beef tenderloin, on the video Curtis said could easily feed 8-10 people, on this site it says 4-6. When I took it out of the box? For all of you Zoolander fan’s out there, I thought what is this? A roast for ants???? I will be lucky to get 4 good pieces out of one roast. Ridiculous. Never again. -
Curtis Stone beef is from Australia. Pork products are from US. I suspect they both source the same farms. Packaging has to be in the US so as I said, Rastelli must cut and pack Curtis Stone’s meat from Australia, Faroe Island FARMED salmon, shrimp and other seafood, and pork products. Curtis does not own nor have the capacity to cut, pack and send like Rastelli does. I did order some of his seasonings and suspect they might be the same because I ordered Curtis and Ray Rs spices and they look pretty much identical as far as the spices and salts go For the first time they are saying Faroe Island is farmed and not wild. They skirted that for about 3 years. No more wild Atlantic salmon. That fishery is non existent and in North America (Canada) only Native Americans can fish fo it and only to eat and not to sell.

I shop both HSN and QVC for food products. I have not personally purchased rastelli Meats because I buy the Curtis Stone and I’m very happy with the products. But, I have questioned why my products come packaged in rastelli Packaging. Rastelli meats are sold here where I live at Lidl for approximately half what you pay on QVC. To be fair I don’t know if it’s the same quality but it’s the same Packaging. I would be so disappointed to find out that Curtis Stone is not exactly truthful about his meat being from Australia. I appreciate the post that explained why he uses rastelli, but I question the validity about information. I would like to hear from the Curtis Stone organization itself. Nonetheless, I love Curtis Stone’s Meats.

I was just wondering the same thing. LOL I ordered CS steaks and it is coming from Rastelli’s. Rastelli’s has lots of bad reviews on their products so I hope I am getting CS as that is what I ordered and paid for. I LOVE Cutis Stone!!

I no longer purchase from Rastelli/egg harbor/Annabelle all are sister companies owned by Rastelli. 2 purchases refunded due to poor quality
HSN does a better job with their products, customer service and prompt deliveries.

Rastelli Meats are only US grown meats. Curtis Stone has imported Australian meat. Since he does not own a large scale butcher, packing and shipping frozen meat in the US, Curtis must use Rastelli to do those with his meat which is probably brought over whole from Australia. Not sure where his pork products are from however. It says domestic so that means from the US. Must have Rastelli doing that for him as well. They both sell pork products= one on HSN, other on QVC.
