What has changed since QVC and HSN joined hands?
I quit watching entirely after that event, had other things going on as well. Anyway, much has happened in the world. Just went to look at Herckimer items and looks like most of them are silver toned, lol. Can anybody tell me how the silvertone quality ranks. Thanks much!

Everything has gone downhill. HSN, if you bought more than one item of the same, then you only paid half the cost of shipping.. now, , you if bought three pairs of jeans, you pay shipping and handling for each one and the return fees like QVC have gotten outrageous. Also, the models have gotten worse and worse like QVC. I could go on and on but those are some of the differences .

It is a shame because I remember years ago if a host relayed information about a product, you could absolutely trust that information. Earlier products I purchased from QVC were excellent and rarely returned. More importantly, they performed or were as presented. Now, I really don’t rely on anything the hosts say. If I want something, I do my own research.

I used to shop often but not anymore… First it was when SSC left… then it was this or that BUT now I don’t like paying all the shipping fees.. The whole HSN/QVC has changed..

I agree with others. HSN dumped or severely scaled back good jewelry lines (e.g,, Suzanne Somers, Joan Boyce, Heidi Daus, Technibond, etc.) and actual clothing designers for celebrity or host lines that are often ugly, subpar, frumpy and outdated. Even my once upon a time go to line, DG2 has suffered. I do not buy much there any more, just her embroidered jeans. QVC clothing is a bit better but it is also more expensive. There are also escalated shipping and handling fees and return limitations (and fees) even when the latter happens because of inaccurate descriptions and faulty sizing charts. A lot of people are saddened by the changes, especially disabled people like me who shop online because they have to.

I’m very disappointed in HSN’s jewelry offerings. I’ve spent hours searching for things I like and can afford. I’ve found a few things, but not much. If you search “leverback earrings” you’ll find 17 items, half of them I can’t afford. I miss vendors like Victoria Wieck, Michael Anthony, and others. I used to love the Absolute brand, but now they don’t have much to offer. I miss the Technibond line. I’ve been watching JTV and they are more like HSN used to be. Lots of colored gemstones, usually created or CZ’s, at reasonable prices.

I am newer to HSN and QVC than many on here but I remember when I started watching how the clothing models would wear their true size and show the back side and waist band. And how the models didn’t have a ton of toppers on top of the jeans or pants they are showing. The better quality of clothing but this is the same at retail stores, everything is lesser quality. Sign of the times that people are looking for lower prices in a high price economy.

I used to buy from Victoria Weick and Technibond quite a while ago ,But that was a while back. I upgraded a long time ago to GSN and while it is much more expensive their jewelry is beautiful and has some value. You get what you pay for.

Vietto Weck is now on ShopHQ. And the quality has really gone down since QVC bought HSN. Now they try to act just like HSN and I have been a customer for 30 some years since 1990. Everything is gone downhill and it’s repeating the same today, special people over and over and over it’s monotonous and then on one item for over half an hour. Thanks a lot QVC.
