"Turquoise" Wears off like Painted-on Beads
Listening just now to Jay King and the HSN hostess pitch with their line of bull about how real their product is, how awesome, etc., makes me want to either laugh or throw up. The last thing we got from HSN was a Jay King turquoise necklace that within a few months appears not to be turquoise at all but rather painted-on beads as beads are changing colors and/or the finish is wearing off. My wife is a turquoise queen and has owned turquoise jewelry for more than 40 years without ever having an experience like this. HSN says, sorry, no refund, even though this apparently was a fraudulent advertisement on their part. They have referred me to JayKingCares (ha!) website, which seems to be a black hole with no phone number even listed. (1:11 pm CDT July 12 2021).

There is a 800 number that you can try. When doing so, ask to speak with Jill Erickson. She is very helpful and has been with the company for many years. She is my “go to” person when I have any questions pertaining to their website as well as with Jay King’s jewelry on HSN. Jay does stand behind all pieces he creates for both his retail store and for HSN. The 800 number is:
800-745-7760. Hope this helps. -
I stopped buying Jay king years ago, because I had a turquoise necklace that was white underneath.

HSN sells enhanced gemstones. They advertise that fact on air. I checked a couple of Jay King turquoise necklace item pages, and they have a link to the gemstone enhancement chart in Other Important Info.

I was disgusted when he was selling a “ametrine” necklace that was clearly made up of pale amethyst and citrine beads….Not amethyst and citrine in one bead which is what ametrine is. When next on, he tried to say that the amethyst and citrine crystals were found next to each other at “mine”. That still is not ametrine. He does the same thing with watermelon tourmaline. His puts green and pink beads in necklace and calls in “watermelon”. Wrong again, Jay. I have gotten some nice things from him, but you have to beware.

The way he drives around in the desert back country you’d think all his stones would be authentic. It is all a show and his prices are insane.
