Jay King's Jewelry
I thought I was seeing things when a necklace costing $299 was televised. But looking at the “New” inventory, most of the prices are out of this world. There are so many items priced $247 and onward to $799.50. It’s mind boggling. I love Jay King and southwestern jewelry in general, but I won’t be adding to my collection at those prices.

Not only are the prices astronomical, but his line is majorly overpriced. I can buy beads, gemstones and other items at a fraction of his prices. I make jewelry and I can set stones and string necklaces myself. I doubt I will ever buy anything from Jay King.

I totally agree with the previous posts… What in the world is going on with Jay King’s prices?? I have an extensive collection of his jewelry already so I definitely will not be adding to it. I will not pay these outrageous prices. Sorry jay

I used to love Jay King Jewelry and I own too much of it and after a while it all looks the same. A few pieces I should have returned especially any of his Labradorite it is dark with not much blue or green.
His prices are way too high for the designs and quality it is ridiculous.
He needs to change thinks up instead it is the same ole same ole yet more expensive with a higher shipping rate.
If I do buy Turquoise, I will purchase Chaco Canyon the turquoise is great quality, and the design of the silver is nicer-
I’ve never tried Chaco Canyon jewelry. Thanks for the suggestion @angie0215 !

I’m a jewelry maker & do metalsmithing and there isn’t anything special enough about Jay King jewelry for that company to be charging these prices! Many of the gemstones aren’t even triple A quality! The prices are unwarranted.

Amen to that. My mother and I had a silver and turquoise collection over the years that was made by Native Americans and good quality. The house was broken into and all of it stolen. I was heart broken as the pieces were all bought on different vacations with good memories. I decided to buy a silver and turquoise necklace from Jay King. When it arrived, I kept looking at it thinking there must be a mistake. It didn’t even look like real turquoise. It looked like plastic! The turquoise was paper thin and looked like a lacquer over it. I was used to stones. Will never buy his products again.

Chaco Canyon is all made in America.
Jay King’s jewelry isn’t . I don’t think his jewelry is worth the price he is getting…
His prices are way up… When I lived in Santa Fe I would buy my jewelry from the natives…. Beautiful.. all hand made in NM…
Try Chaco Canyon her jewelry is all made in NM. -
I buy most of my turquoise from Chavo Canyon. I want to support the tribal artists. Jay King sells unique and different items which are not available anywhere. The only thing he ALWAYS says he can’t get anymore of a certain item, or the mine has closed, or he has no more rough materials to make certain items. So I guess it gets on my nerves with his “last chance” pitches.

I pretty much only buy when it’s on sale but then it sells out pretty fast. I’ve only returned two items because they were very dark (amber) and didn’t go with any of my clothes. They were very pretty though. I really like his stuff but some of the necklaces tend to be repeat designs. I bought Chaco Canyon (a ring) but nothing else. Their stuff is really a lot more expensive to me. I was hoping they would be on this week.

I have some of Jay King’s jewelry. Some of it, I like and enjoy wearing, but there are a few pieces that are definitely not what I had hoped for. You know it’s expensive to be a pilot and he often mentions that he has a pilot’s license in Australia. Apparently, he visits mines in the Outback frequently. I am almost positive that materials have gotten more expensive, but I do agree that some of the prices seem a bit high. I guess it is all in what one is willing to spend. Personally, my favorite was (and still is) Robert Manse. I love his designs and the quality of the work that goes into his pieces. And, no he does not do the same style (Southwestern) as Mr. King. But one can tell that Mr. Manse takes great pride in his work. I miss Robert appearing on HSN (although I have followed him around on different networks to catch him selling his fine jewelry plus he has a website).
