Horn Jewelry?

Did they say what kind of animal the horn was from? or even that it was a real horn from an animal? (as opposed to “faux” horn)? I thought it was odd too.

Horn jewelry is a thing, as is jewelry made from buffalo horn and deer antler. Just another way of using all parts of an animal. I’ve also seen jewelry made from carved bone.
