Love IMAN
IMAN is such a beautiful person, inside and out. It radiates even on TV. Love her non-pretentious, down-to-earth personality. And the promotional video HSN made of her walking in the Drapey Chic Tiered Maxi dress is adorable. Love her clothing. It fits the average woman better than any other. She is one amazing person. Hope IMAN is with HSN for a very long time.

Since we love IMAN on this thread, I am going to put it out there that I don’t understand some women. Some not so great reviews on her latest maxi are appearing. When I purchase something, I look for a model who is similar to me and look how it fits her. Do women who are apple-shaped or thick waisted not look at the models that are similar to them? I am thinking of a particular petite model who could be described as such. And do they not look at the garment measurements to see how long it is? SMH I study the models, read the description, watch the videos ad nauseam to make sure it will work for me–at least as sure as I can anyway. I get so tired of reading the complaints, when if the person would just take a bit of time to study the models and read the measurements, she would know it’s not what she’s looking for or that it won’t fit her well.
I ordered the black retro, and while I wasn’t as crazy about the print in person, I still like it. But what I loved was the new drapey material! Such a nice update and not as heavy as previous material. I also really liked the style and fit. And yes, with the flounced tier at the bottom, it is going to be a bit heavier than it appears, because the flounce is generous with a lot of material. I can only imagine how heavy it would be in the material previously used! The fit with the elastic waistband all the way around is better than previous versions imo. And it is more of an empire waist than a traditional waist. I only heard one or two hosts talk about this, and it’s not in the description.
I do understand that everyone has an opinion. But I get tired of reading opinions of women who don’t educate themselves before ordering. Rant over. lol

I’m wondering if Iman has improved her fabric quality? It had gotten to be cheap thin polyester or similar in the past. Turn around and look in a mirror with a light nearby and some of it was almost see through or gripped you in the wrong places. I love her clothing and the way she designs to flatter a normal woman’s body but I don’t like her fabric. I’d like to try her jeans but I don’t need any new jeans. I still have some of her Ponte bootcut pants from 3. years ago that are absolutely great, warmish fabric and lay beautifully. But bootcut dress pants are out of style, she does so many bootcut jeans because I guess it is more flattering. But this year, I have been choosing straight or narrow leg styles. I enjoy watching her showings, she is so calm and she doesn’t just push you to buy two in the aggressive way some of the hosts do. She comes across as honest.

The fragrance she created in honor of her love for David Bowie is absolutely beautiful. I “collect” perfumes and Iman’s is one of my favorites. It is truly a very romantic scent.

She’s amazingly cool and always current. Her chocolate cocker’s name is Mars, in reference to her husband’s band, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. She posts tons of pictures of him on IG and FB and uses the hashtag LifewithMars. She occasionally posts pix of Lexi too. Tons of inspirational quotes.

I love IMAN, too! I was new to her line last year but have certainly made up for lost time with my many purchases since then! I know a size small will always fit me, and her dresses usually have an empire waist, which truly do look good on most women. I bought the black retro maxi!
