The use of UV light to remove bacteria is very useful in both aquatics and air applications. The key is that in order for it to have a high degree of bacteria elimination, the air or water has to completely and, for a sufficient length of time, circulate around the light.

So this does work. But I wouldn’t expect one unit to remove bacteria for your whole home because air doesn’t normally circulate equally throughout an entire home. You could take it from room to room and use it that way. Or buy several to place in different locations. It would be great for traveling and staying in hotel rooms.
