HSN moving to QVC facility by quarter 3
HSN is moving to PA & will operate out of the QVC studios by third quarter. Staffing to be determined.

WOW I had no idea HSN was moving. Sorry for all those people who will be losing their jobs. I don’t watch as often as I used to, but I still shop at both places. Some of my favorite clothing lines are Cuddl Duds and Susan Graver.

My viewership is down because too many vacuum cleaners and too much Kim Gravel stuff. I just can’t watch her and I think $39 for a tank and slap on $12 more for tax and tip is crazy. I get great deals at Macys and I can try them on. Most of her clothes are $69 and tack on $18 more and I’m out. Now she’s selling all kinds of overpriced stuff.

I am going to miss HSN very much. I have been a customer since they went on air. Antthony was twice his size and a pure delight to watch. Bobby Ray had hair all the way down her back and a horn named Tootie, Dr. John had his white coat and stethoscope and Bob Circosta was an excellent salesman as was Colleen. When I couldn’t sleep I could always turn on HSN in the middle of the night and find some wonderful deals. I still do this but there are not any great deals anymore, just repeats of earlier shows. I do 95% of my shopping online and will continue to do so as long as I can. Thank you HSN for being there all of these years. I have concerns, prayers and positive thoughts for all that will be left behind without jobs. My best wishes to all of you.

There will be some losing their jobs without a choice and some that will stay behind by their own choice😔 but you won’t have to miss HSN, it will still be a network with programming…. atleast for now!

HSN is moving studios to PA at QVC. So they will be broadcasting from there. That is what they are doing.
Who will be moving and staying is another matter. There are so many other employees besides on air hosts. Stylists, makeup artists, set designers, tech, etc.For us at home, HSN is still going to be on air.

Yes just saw where Suzanne Runyan made an instagram post about it too… along the same lines as how you put it👍 you’re right there’s SO many behind the scene employees that probably won’t be needed now & it’s a shame . I read that all employees will know the future of their positions at the end of March…. I’m sure there’s alot of rattled nerves right now😔

I wouldn’t care if both QVC and HSN went under. They have outlived their usefulness. Prices are too high, their return fees are downright crazy, and it takes too long to get a package. I am surprised that they still have customers.

What return fees? You mean the cost of shipping? You don’t have to use their label to return. I never do. I do my own return.
I use pirateship.com The prices are always better than UPS, USPS and of course HSN. -
They used to appeal to me so much,now I barely watch or purchase much. Inflated prices and over the top sales pitches,shipping prices and quality of products have drastically declined. Sorry, not the same HSN from when I started shopping.Hope they can make a statement and let us know their future plans,instead of leaving everyone assuming what’s next.

Yes I do wish they’d say what exactly they are gonna do!! Regular format or what?? They keep emphasizing social media and streaming but hopefully they will also just have regular presentations on tv like now too?!

CLIMATE CRISIS is true reason. HSN COULD NOT FUNCTION in Florida due to Hurricane Milton in October and had do broadcast from PA for about a week. It’s property insurance rates in Florida. In 2022 HSN did not broadcast for a few days due to Hurricane Ian. BTW, I read that it will be, “End of the year” which makes more sense.

No…that’s not it! They save more in state taxes in FL…PA has state tax and everything is more expensive. QVC should have moved to FL!!!

Agree this probably was the motivating factor for sure!! We live near the FL line on the gulf side and every yr it’s worrying about hurricanes…. and they are RIGHT there on the ocean so it’s a huge risk and expense yr after yr!! Insurance will be through the roof!

To me, QVC is terrible all the way around, it’s far better product and host/vendor wise on HSN. HSN has. product lines appealing to a broader audience and Q concentrates on menopause for goodness sake, it’s unappealing. and I’m post-menopausal, so…..
Well maybe they can clean house with their over-the-top-insincere-loud-motor-mouth hosts, and replace them with some of the calmer and more low key hosts from HSN. hey, a girl can dream. it’s sad news for the Florida economy at any rate.-
I completely agree with you. So many of the hosts on QVC are nothing but loud clowns and I believe that that is why they have lost so much money. They are more interested in being theatrical than giving customers the correct facts about the item that they are supposed to be selling and talk all over the guests that are trying to present the facts about their product. If I don’t get the facts, I don’t buy. Sure, I can return items that I am not pleased with but having to do that is inconvenient and costs me money. If they would just present the facts and not talk over others, I would buy more and they would make more money. I’m aware that there are some who watch Q just for the entertainment but Q doesn’t make any money off of them. Almost of the professional hosts that know what they are doing and the proper way to do it are leaving. Unless Q wakes up and reads the writing on the wall, they will continue to go down hill. Even David has been demonstrating some negative behaviors and more interested in flexing his muscles and overpowering the guests. It is obvious that they don’t know how to respond when he steps on them and maintain their professionalism so they just go along. Some of the guests seem to have alot of control over the Q and how it is run and not in a positive way but their way. Are they truly guests presenting products or are they owners calling the shots?

I agree with much of what is said by this viewer. Watching QVC is like watching a “BAD COMEDY SHOW” for me. I cannot stomach many of the host. Watching some of the Crazy QVC HOSTS is unbelievable and you can tell when the Product Representatives just look at them like they cannot believe what they are hearing or seeing. If the QVC host does not allow the Product Representatives to present their case, I WILL NOT buy the items. I cannot stand to watch QVC for a long period of time. Many times, it looks like a Daytime Soap Opera.
SHAWN KILLINGER needs to go and everyone that co-host with her needs to follow her right out of the door. When SANDRA BENNETT is the host, I just go to HSN…I cannot stand watching her long enough to determine if I will buy anything that she is selling. The models at QVC will never convince me to buy anything.

HSN is the largest employer in St. Pete. I wonder if the Governor will step in. It will be a great loss for the State of Florida and the Gulf. Coast. Then, again, with the climate change and the hurricanes becoming stronger and higher cost of insurance impacting the State is the reason behind this decision

I know it is all about the $$$, however I am a fan of both HSN and QVC. HSN was where I began shopping as I liked the concept of returning if whatever you ordered didn’t fit, the quality of the merchandise, etc and I used to defend to people who would snicker that I ordered on line how great it was to hear items described, presented and get a “fashion show” and ideas of how to style outfits. I considered that almost as good as having your own stylist! Hearing the campus is closing really makes me sad though i figured something was up. I DO hope they continue the DG2 line, and so many others. I realize shopping has changed just like tv is now streaming and so on, but I’ll just say it like it is for me – going to HSN or QVC for my shopping needs has been awesome and it makes me sad that they are cutting out or decreasing the option. And I’ll add to that the hosts (and guests) are folks that can easily influence purchases, i sure hate to see them go – they are the heart of the business.

O wow looked it up!! Yes it says HSN will begin broadcasting live from Studio Park in West Chester in the coming months!! I wonder if all hosts will go??! Some have family and deep roots like Bobbi, Callie and Guy. I don’t see some making such a big move…And some hosts like Emily and Natasha really only moved there recently for the job! It would be a big move for alot of people. Will be interesting to see!! I always enjoyed knowing they were in Fl since I live in GA just minutes from the FL line!

And I just saw Tanya Christiansen that presents Bear Paws, etc., also posted on instagram addressing it! Sounds like she will be losing her job too😔 there will be so many!Natasha also posted about it. I kind of think alot were taken by surprise today with the announcement!Sad for alot them up 🫤

Quarter (the parent company) is consolidating the CORPORATE HQ to West Chester.HSN and the hosts are staying in FL. It makes sense costwise to have ONE corporate location for the company HQ. It IS a shame that people could possibly lose their jobs if they don’t move (for whatever reasons), but business is business.

The QVC CEO told stockholders recently that Q would not exist in it’s present state in 2 years or sooner. You can listen at Qrate website.
The chat community at QVC pays a lot of attention to stock prices, investor info, annual reports & always post this stuff.
I did not hear that hosts would stay in FL. Only that they would close their studio in FL. Some customer service remote jobs may remain.
Evine or Shop HQ or whatever it’s called is ceasing broadcasting shortly. Online only. It’s the way shopping channels are headed – streaming & online.

QVC lost 15 million dollars in third quarter 2024. They need to save money. Viewership is down.
